Actually no. While she is relieved that I made the decision, she was careful to make sure that she didn't pressure me. Despite my jokes, we have a very balanced relationship like that.

Have you broken the news to Paul yet?
Plod said if they turned up at a cop shop saying they may have hit someone, every chance. Otherwise not much. And they aren't really going to look, since I wasn't injured. I've been casing the area to see if anyone (even down the road) had cameras that might have been facing the road and captured their plate.

And no, haven't told Paul yet. Eek.

That sucks man.....shame you have decided not to continue to ride. Sounds like the missus is a gem. Good for you.

Maybe with a bit of time you may have a change of heart. I jumped straight back on after I replaced my write off. I was a bit wired to start with, but back in the groove again.

This has just taken a turn for the bizarre.

    I'm assuming this is Beyond's 14.

    I'm fucking speechless.

    Unhappy

Mully politely messaged to tell me that loverly 14 is no more.
Katman, you're a hoot. No that 14 was not cursed. Run in properly? Yes. Used as it should have been and ridden like it can be? Yes. But well looked after and I know for sure Mully has enjoyed every minute of riding it.

Real shame they aren't making them anymore cos if they were and I got back into biking again it would be a third 14 no questions asked. I've not ridden a better all rounder except the Tuono came pretty close. Just loved the way the Tuono lofts the front at 6-7000rpm in third gear.

Thankfully Mully seems ok and walkked away from it. Thank God!
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Are you the guy that had the delicious black GSX1400 I occasionally saw on Pleasant road/WCR?

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Yep - there is a white/blue one that floats around there too - but I think the black is the nicer paint job.

Yep, I almost bought one. Still think it looks 10x sexier than my TL...

    So...
What kinda track bike are you looking at? If you're anything like my Dad, his knees are half fucked at 47. Too many whoopdy whoops.

Unless you were heading north at 6.30 every morning, not surprised.
In any case, I'm going to stay even farther away from that end of WCR.

    Boris is fucked -

    the 4x4 didn't stop.

Long story short, my (almost) immediate thought (my first two were "Ouch!" and "Fuck!" respectively), is that I am unlikely to get another road bike - at least in the short term anyway. An increasing number of "SMIDSY" moments, combined with the fact that I was exceedingly lucky to walk away from the worst of the SMIDSY moments this week. I may get a track bike or a dirt bike in due course.

Mrs Mully also freaked out, and decided that riding isn't for her so therefore her bike will be for sale in due course. If anyone's keen on a Kawasaki Eliminator 250, sing out.
What a shit of a thing, Its great you got away with minimal physical damage considering all the what ifs but the long term affects on both you and Mrs Mully seem unfairly severe. Its a real shame she has lost the enjoyment of riding and your contemplating minimising your riding future, I hope its just temporary.

Sorry to here this, another westie not riding driving overhere seems to be getting worse... glad you are ok, sorry to here the 4x4 got away with it... hope if nothing else the driver now understands what driving like a total pratt can do to others... mind you probably won't
