1Tonne ''Endorsed by Shaun Harris''..for someone like Shaun to have his name used against a product, it must rate?

Probably not your best response Quasi to be honest..
Building a model railway or trimming bonzai tress is a hobby.
Supplying protective gear to the motorcycling public should be taken a bit more seriously than.....a hobby.
And I know you do take it seriously.
There is gear better than and lesser than QMoto, even you would agree with that.
QMoto gear can been seen everywhere and most QM gear owner/wearers swear by it.
Thats something you should be proud of.

nope, just means he got paid. Not saying that makes the gear bad or good just don't rely on "celebrity endorsements".

    Was kind of my point..
Nothing can come back at Mr Harris if the gear fails so....would he in fact wear it? own it?
I may have missed any post he has made about how fantastic 1Tonne gear is in the past, but I doubt it.
Like I said ...there is gear better and lesser than what you eventually end up with.

Sorry about the hijack but I was lurking about the thread and thought I would ask. Been unable to get a reply so far. Are there reputable Kiwi manufacturers that would be interested in exporting biker related items to the states? What kind of shipping or other issues are we facing? Please contact me if you have any info.

    Thanks again, KB.

Someone should copy and paste the specs from each of the brands top sports jackets and do the comparision spec for spec?

Say the Qrace vengeance against the 1 tonne Race suit black hawk jacket ??

here are a few differences to kick it off

Qmoto has KNOX armour ............1 Tonne has a Satra CE
Qmoto has a Full Circumference Zip..............1 tonne dont
Qmoto is Triple stitched with kevlar............1 tonne is double with nylon

    you can keep going.

Ive run out of fucks to give

Been coming to KB for a few years for help and info I couldn't find anywhere else. Your overall kindness to each other and sense of humor is impressive. That and you guys are nuts about your riding. We are not that different.

From personal experience right here. (No longer a Q-Moto sponsored rider)

I have had two QMoto Race suits, one of the old 2nd gen Titaniums and a later one and I ride daily in a five year old Quasimoto Vengence jacket.

My first race suit I will have crashed over 10 times in. Two of those crashes at spectacular pace. Zero injuries, suit still perfectly servicable when I passed it on to a broken arse rider when I got my next suit. Second suit I never crashed in but the fit and comfort was like nothing I've been lucky enough to wear since. Bloody beautiful piece of work.

My Vengence jacket I've crashed twice in. First was 4 years ago when I wrote off my partners SV650 at about 60kph on a diesel slick on a motorway on ramp. (Onehunga heading south if you're familiar). Zero injury. More recently, 10 months back when I highsided an R1 at fairly good pace. Concussed myself pretty well but I can hardly blame the jacket. What's really interesting, is I've crashed bikes alot, I mean ALOT, over the past 20 years of road riding. Whith every single crash I've ever had prior to the ones outliend above, because I'm a boney bastard, I suffer nasty impact grazes on my knees, hips and elbows. Even if the gear is largely unscaithed, I'm missing big chunks of skin and flesh in these areas after a crash.

Over the past five years, I've not suffered a single impact graze on a QMoto protected area of my body. Not one.

I work in a bike shop, I have access to better than wholesale prices on any gear I wish to purchase. Now that my Vengence is starting to pull the seams apart on the back panel, I will be replacing it with QMoto gear.

    There ya go, personal experience.

When I 1st saw this thread, I thought, it would be nice for the two dealers to keep out of it all together and let peoples own personal experiences speak for themselves. Own foot -aim -load- fire

    +1

I just spent 1K on gear. I did a bit of research on KB beforehand and because of a particular persons posts on here i didnt even consider them or check their website before buying elsewhere.

If the gear is good enough then it will speak for itself and people will vouch for it when required without the vendor having to get involved in the discussion.

The ongoing need to justify a brand is laughable and then to come out and say it just a hobby is ridiculous.
...By all means do the hard sell if thats what it takes but using a little maturity and tact will go a long way to ensure your business a success.

Oh dear Maha Maha Maha, I been going for 8 years and still going thanks, whats wrong with having a little business on the side, is the word a "hobby" not ideal ?
whats the negative in the word Hobby ?
Shall I call it a home based business, would that make you happier?

Hard Sell wtf, I dont need to buddy specs and performance speak for them selves dude.

it would surprise alot of people that the world is a fuck load bigger than KB
Ive run out of fucks to give
