sun's been shining in cambridge all day. mowed the lawns, did the rear wheel bearings on my car, went for a run. cool wind, but lovely in the sun. can see a huge storm system coming from the north west - sitting over hamilton west at the moment.

Think I saw 3.8 on the MetService site for us (with the "feels like -4" for the windchill). I see its at 0.8 just now ("feels like -6").
Just for fun, I had a Chevy Silverado 4WD to tootle around in for a bit. Yeah, fun...

well that is one thing we haven't had is any wind - only reason the trees are moving is the weight of snow on them and then it lets go!!

It was a balmy +1 C when Ned and I played a game of soccer. Wind chill was showing -11.8 C.

    -2 C at sunset.

What a cool looking dog! Looks a bit like a snow leopard... you ever loose him in the snow?

Maximum here yesterday (on my auto system) was 9.4C. Positively balmy. Minimum overnight was -0.8C. Certainly not a major frost.

Went out for a brisk early morning ride. -0.2C when I left and had roared up to 2.0C by the time I got back. But I was as cold as hell at the end of the ride despite three layers of merinos under the leather AND heated grips. The heated grips keep the palms of the hands warm but my fingernails, on the other side from the heat, always freeze.

Left to come to work at 9.30. Was 5.0C at that time.

Today is overcast so we might not get as high as yesterday. Grey and cold. Woo and fucking Hoo.
