    Well that was an anticlimax.

I'v been asked to run theBRONZ learners rides again. Although Im unable to commit to being there every week, I am happy to co-ordinate a team of riders with many years of experience to be ride leaders. I have some interest from the Ulysses Mentors, a great start. I'm keen to hear from anyone here who feels they have something to offer riders working their way through the stages to a full license.
The criteria for ride leaders this time will be a lot tougher after some of the experiences from last season. Still, if you think you have a heart for new riders then please don't be shy. PM me and we can get together for a chat.
O and BTW, Aunti Ratti is not a dictator, just aware of what is needed in a ride leader and unwilling to let inexperienced riders be in charge of noobs.

*sigh- stands back and waits for the critics to let rip - AGAIN *
Just a suggestion but for a starting point - you could send any new riders here...

$20? Crazy bargain! Once they have done that then send them on an on road course.... In fact Andrew might even get funding for that too....

Why would anyone let rip ?
You put ya hand up to help learners and i say good on ya, can't be easy floating around the place with a doz L plates taggin along, i'd be tearin dreads out stressin about losing one on my watch !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

It has its moments Sinny... abuse has come in the form of 'who do you think you are? Bloody middleaged Nana telling me what to do" This from noobs who choose to ride with one hand on the throttle and t'other stroking their dick. The more common one is from 'senior riders' who attempted to take over the rides for whatever reason it was. One of whom listened to the briefing, then stepped in front of me and told the riders what he was going to do to change what I had just indicated...sigh. This will NOT be happening again. Sadly, I'm not a hardarse, but by crikey there are times when I wish I was!
And I agree, losing one would be very hard, touch wood not happend yet. Hence my need for riders of maturity and with the right attitude to do this. It's not for everyone. The reward comes from hearing that what we have done has helped a rider gain confidence and make progress.
