Sheesh, 40th's make me feel old. Hmm, got a 21st to go to next year which makes me feel ancient and guess my niece will be 21 in a year or two, maybe a bit more, dunno.
Ah well, I'm sure 50th's will be fun as well. Lol, I'm still trying to cope with the thought of my parents moving into a retirement home, but have to remember they're somewhere near 80. (yeah, I'm good at names and numbers, basically no use for man nor beast but I can mock the crap outta me so manage to entertain me if no one else).
righto, back to the racing. hope the snow clears, the sun shines and there's lots of fun. Auckland turned out an almost decent day today, damned hard to head back to work after meeting who I had to meet and standing around waiting a bit in the sunshine. (but it was chilly this morning, with no rain, no snow, no hail and more importantly, no WIND)
Well maybe. Its only thursday, so who can tell. Hmm, there's still a good coating of snow in Kaitoke though through the webcam. Thought it would have well melted by now.
Below pic didn't post well, lots of little sun pics for sunday
Sunday 6° 7° 10° 12° 12° 11° 9° 9°

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Looks like the track has cleared, just don't run wide onto the grass.
You mean like this:

ok some of those links don't work
Well the webcam tonight shows a lot of the snow has indeed melted, but there's still a heap more. My slicks on the 100 are circa 2003 so I may only be doing some demonstration laps to try the bike out. I have some almost fresh, barely horribly abused '06s to upgrade to.![]()

This weekend has been postponed till next sunday 28/08 due to snow and ice at the track
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!
Have the karts cancelled their racing? I'd be keen to head to the track for some testing of new stuff (throttle, jets etc) if the track isn't closed and if the weather is going to be good like it says. I haven't received an email from them yet though. Cheers Fish.
So who's driving to Manfeild to watch Rich race instead then?
And who wants to give me and M a lift??
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
Track is available for testing as the karts have called there day too

Sweet I'm gonna head up there for testing. There will probably still be a few people up there I bet.
Test rode Zensen today and I might just make the meet now its next weekend (time to do major greasing). It's going on a Dyno on Monday so who knows what will be shown. I'm having major itchy figures from not racing and can't wait to get out again.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.

The dyno will show an FXR is still better.![]()
I would've thought rider ability and corner speed would count for more than anything else on a kart track.
