If I was racing Rich on a regular basis I'd see this as a good thing. More power = more high sides.

Rich has certainly provided compelling evidence to support such a statement.

    The only one

    Well what a day.

Thanks to Skunk for getting my foot in the door to race today.

The Track day was running in day for the new engine and it felt strong from the out set. Went out in the slow group for 2 sessions so I wouldn't be to tempted to thrash it. Then after lunch went out in medium to push it a bit more. The clutch didn't like the cheap oil I was using and started to slip a lot. Still ran some ok lap times around 132. Great fun riding around them 1000's and stuff.

Changed the oil over night. It looked like nice metallic grey paint so it did its job. In with the good stuff and away we go. Qualifying was a bit slow and came in at a 134 7th overall. Race one was all go, had a great battle with an rg for the whole race big smiles. lap times were getting better with a 131.19. Same again for the next race big battle all the way to the flag nothing in it my front wheel glued the the back of his bike over the line. Times came down again to a 130.4 something. Last race and got a good start and straight into an epic battle with a Ninja 250. He would get past on the straights i would make up on the corners went like that the complete race with me passing in the hairpin but not being able to escape to the guys in front. Last lap managed a really nice fast pass through the hairpin and kept him behind out of higgens then he got passed into dunlop and over cooked it a bit so i got back in front. Head down to the line hoping I could make it to the flag side buy side and I just got there. Such a fun day. Big thanks to Brent and Skunk, Vic club everyone really. Was a great way to celebrate my birthday.

The words being uttered around the pits went like this. "Yeah the fucken bucket fast" Hopfully some of the fucking dicks that bad mouth us will shut the fuck up.

    Rich.

Always fun riding around the outside of 1000's on track days and then getting blasted down the straights, did it at the last pmcc track day, even got a single finger wave from one of them! haha.

Great result in the races as well.

Awesome job Rich, you represented us bucketeers well!
Had a ball watching you and I heard quite a few folk cheering you on also.
Pity a few more couldn't have come along.
I'm really not sure why we're having to prove anything actually, many people have seen F4 and F5 have full to capacity fields at TRRS, and even when mixed with SS last year I don't think we disgraced ourselves (apart from one who let the side down by having themselves a wee oopsie all over the track).

But, Yeah, buckets, they're soooooo slow!
I hope there's a few people enjoying their 'word sandwiches' for dinner tonight.

    Great days racing for sure.
In the last race people were on their feet as you came onto the pit straight, beating that 250 by .006 of a second was awesome!

    Well done.

Awesome Rich! Holding the bucket flag high and all that...
Maybe some of the self-proclaimed 'purists' might calm down and STFU (for 2secs!)

True. I wish I didn't say that coz I don't really feel that way. And don't care anymore. Its all about the racing.

Better race report in the race reports section now.

While I don't hate over it I do tire of hearing about how great small bikes aren't by people that haven't even tried it.

Not to mention that they're untidy, leaky and badly maintained.

    True!
Although now I've read Rich's Race report I feel a dork for bitching.

Bah, who cares, we have a blast and any knockers just miss out on a world of fun anyway.

I do miss the big track too though...

Surely most of us are used to being treated like the poor cousins, not that I really give a shite considering I think we get the biggest jollies for the smallest amount of money. And the poo pooers are normally the ones who either haven't tried it, tried it 30 years ago or something, or just don't have a sense of humor
