NZ fairing manufacturers/suppliers

Hi guys,

I am in the process of getting a new set of street fairings for my '99 GSXR 750 (the OEM ones are foked). So far I've found the following NZ companies that sell fairings:
- fairingsolutions.co.nz
- justfairings.co.nz
- www.racefairings.co.nz

Given that this bike will see (hopefuly) a decent amount of track, I am not looking at something flash/expensive - just a decent quality set of fairings at a decent price. However, I don't want to buy "cheap" set of fairings and discover two months later that they crack every time you touch them or when they heat up/cool down.

Has anybody worked with any of the above and can give some feedback in regards to the seller and their product?

Also, if you know of any other fairings supplier, please don't be shy, speak up

Hmmmm, the bloke above is normally flat stick, but does very nice work. The Yoshimura copy fairings came up a treat on my GSXR1000K7 and handled a low speed topple into the gravel with nothing more than scuffed paint.

I ended up ordering my fairing from them. They are due to arrive in a week or so. Then I'll be able to let you guys know what the quality is like.

several of the poeple selling fairings as 'NZ made' are full of shit. a quick forum search of the ones you have listed will show you who is recommended.
For the track, youre probably better of with fibreglass, it crashes better and is easy to repair. I hear good things about just fairings.

I thought it would be a good ideea to share my conclusiong, for whoever is interested:

In the end I ordered from Fairing solutions (NZ branch of an AUS company that outsources the manufacture process to China).

I ordered and received two sets of fairing from them so far. First set was for an 1999 GSXR750 (press molded plastic) and the second was for a hayabusa (injection molded plastic). I have just received the hayabusa ones so I can not talk about fitting on the injection molded plastic (this is supposed to be the better one). However I have already installed the GSXR ones. here are my conclusions:
- delivery timing: the timing they give is very close to the reality
- quality: finish is brilliang - bright and shiny paint and stickets. Interior panels don't seem to be as good as the OEM ones (thin plastic that is not as heat resistant as the OEM one - the interior panels that get very close to the exhaust might deform/melt a bit. The good bit is that they spray a shiny transparent layer over the stickers and paint which seems to prevent stickers peeling off in time
- fitting: as specified by them, for the press moulded ones the fitting points that get glued on after might be a bit off (just a few mm in my case), but generally speaking the fitting is not too bad and the fitting points that were drilled in the fairing were quite spot on. I understand they stopped selling press mold plastic fairings because of fitting complaints. The injection moulded ones are supposed to be spot on but I haven't fitted the Busa ones on the bike yet so I can't comment.
- material: the plastic on the gsxr fairings seems to be as thick and as flexible as the OEM one. Not checked the Busa ones yet.
- support: there are two guys that you usualy deal with: one in AU and one in NZ and both have been very friendly. The gixxer was shipped with the wrong screen (transparent instead of ligt tint) and they were more than happy to sort this out for me.

Note: be aware that ieven though you pay by credit card on a nz website in nz dollars, you will get charged foreign currency fee on the credit card tranzaction (if your credit card has a fee for this). They don't make the withdrawal in NZ dollars.
