Last week I passed my four-year mark as a Moderator on Kiwi Biker - three-and-a-half of those as Senior Mod. A couple of days ago, I indicated my intent to step down, and a few minutes ago I took the step of changing my own log-in to that of a normal Senior Member - my final duty.
How many shit-fights refereed, tears dried, bottoms smacked, log-in problems fixed, spammers zapped, as well as all the usual Mod stuff in the threads - I simply don't know.
It's all merged into one big memory - the good times and bad even themselves out to create a good reflection of a job done to the best of my ability.
I've watched KB change in that time. It's not better, not worse, just different. Like all of us, I've enjoyed some changes, and lamented others. But change is inevitable - and it's time to move on - to be part of that change.
My business (which has occasionally been neglected) is entering a new stage of growth, and my team need me as a full-time leader. I'm looking forward to enjoying a little more of the company of my wonderful (and long-suffering) wife, and working on the improvement of my health and fitness.
And, I'm going to ride more...
I'll still be around.
To those friends I've made along the way - you know who you are.
To the enemies - well, you can go fuck youselves...
Cheers
Ken
