    Taiko drumming

If you want to see something really cool, tune into Breakfast on TV One tomorrow morning. Waitaiko, a drum troup my daughter is part of, are playing playing drums on TV (after the 7:30 news) for the promotion of the Japan/AB game tomorrow night.

For those of you who dont know what Taiko Drumming is, it is traditional Japanese drumming. This group mix it up a little with some NZ influences ie; percussive poi and the like. Really worth a look see.

We went to a Taiko night last year at Waikato Uni, I thought yeah yeah drums/noise bla bla, but came away feeling how wrong I was. Really enjoyed the night and the show they put on was nothing short of amazing, even the little blonde pale girl...

Yes really big drums, though some smaller ones too. I have not seen bare bums while they have been performing Unless they save that for times I am not there

It was really cool ,but actually really restrained for them. I dont know if you saw the guy at the back with the stand up drum? He wallops it with a basebal bat!
