Just got another shipment of magnets (32 more) on it's way to me.

Means I can do a couple of "bulk" parcels to say Welly, Aucks, ChCh etc.

    2 for MonstaMan - Wankana.
1 for MXNUT - Oop norf?
1 for Pikey - Kapiti (can attach a handful to the sprocket and you can dole them out up there?).
    2 for Jatz - Brooklyn, New York(ish).
    1 for Woodman - Richmond.

They sure are - that's when my NSU screw fell into the sump - fortunately it didn't make it into the gears and today it appeared on the end of the sump plug as below.

Now - if we could get some big nuts that attracted other kinds of screws I'd be a starter.

I couple of those neothingymium magnets sounds like an excellent idea but would they rob me of my Super human strength & x-ray vision & would I have to ride without my cape?

But they confer a magnetic personality.

You don't even need to ride with your undies on the outside.

Would they stick to a stainless steel sump plug? The klr has now got a really low profile sump plug. (spose I could drill a recess in the end and epoxy it in place.)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    No..
drill the hole a bit deeper if possable?.....
then punch the hole over slightly after its in..
Then theres no worry of the glue/epoxy letting go with heat...

if the plug is a bit shy on depth.. drill the hole
with a slot drill "2 flute mill cutter" then yer havn't got the
extra hole depth from the drills point..
PS..start the hole with a drill..It will keep the slot drill centred
    at the start...

You want the hole too be about 3mm deep so only one pole of the magnet is in the hole for normal bungs.
JB weld or epoxy for alloy or stainless.

The magnets are good to hold about 0.7kg of ferrous metal.

I've also seen 175deg at the top oil banjo on the head of the TT and the magnet still holds well.
