Fair enough. Along with lack of exercise too I guess... but charging them more for their food isn't going to change that. Dunno what the answer is, but taxing them seems harsher than harsh. Less money for the gym
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

From what I can make out, fat has fatty acids in it which are essential for the body to work correctly. There are however "good fats" and "bad fats". Food producers are meant to keep the amount of "good fats" up and the "bad fats" down but ultimately the amount of total fat we eat is our choice.

They're a huge drain on the health system...and should be made to get on the scales at the supermarkets.

I dont know the answer but does it?
    Smokers still smoke
    Drinkers still drink (chin chin)
People still use heaps of petrol
all 3 above are heavily taxed and nothing has changed.
Education changes things however, i.e Smoking is reducing ?
Taxation and fines are great at changing behavior.

Got fined for speeding, stopped doing it without MK1 eyeball in full service.

Got fined for riding without a helmet. Stopped doing it on main roads.

Got fined (taxed) for drinking, so make my own.

Got fined (taxed) for having a job. Stopped doing it, collect a benefit instead.

Easy. And I have time for whitebaiting, biking and drinking.

The problem is that "they" forget that the in-hole is bigger than the out-hole.

Fat bastards need their arseholes stretched to be the same size as their mouth.

True... and people can, as we do sometimes depending on which meat we've bought, boil the fat off before cooking the meat. Would that be a tax refund

That "boutique market" as you call it, was created by calling them "healthy" & "good for you" we created the high prices of those "healthy" "boutique markets" so don't think they'll get more attractive (financially) if we tax "unhealthy foods", they'll just raise prices & profit in return to match.

You could be on to something. Just keep the fish and chipies and the lard they fried it all in ????????? No oil then, you could still be on the right track Regards Richard
