    Slicks

    hey I'm looking for a set of slicks to put on my fxr but it is proving to be a mission.does anyone have any they could part with of no of someone who does.its still got the standard rims on .chur

    Maate. they seem to be like rocking horse shit at the moment. I bought a couple of sets recently via tardme, but only one set were actually useable. The other set had cracks in the rubber. They weren't really noticeable until I went to put them on. Oh, sorry. After that bleat, I'm afraid that I am no help.

    I ran slicks with cracks in em to start with. JC had them in his shed and they were free and the only ones I could get at the time. They worked OK for me for quite a while and then when I was finished with them Captian Soup used them for a bit, by the time he threw them out he had to pump them up between races.
    Still worked OKish though.

    One was 5 the other 7 years old. Supposedly well stored.

    I got NEW 01 wets for the rs. they still have all the little bumbie bits and havent done more than roll around the garage in 10 years ( I'm not that keen to try them out in the wet but you never know)

    The rear is definitely holed. I noticed the crack and pressed it with my finger thereby releasing air pressure. Still got the front.
