Mind you, If you are driving something stupid like the Barina etc, You deserve to be called an Idiot
That's a lot of money for 500kw, not even at the wheels. Although I guess you get factory warranty, and the walkinshaw name.

Once again the great race delivers an edge-of-the-chair finish with a little help from a slightly loose Tander Holden and a magnficent Lowndes Holden. Fantastic result for Murph in third.

A rather tedious race compared with recent years.
Unfortunately we didn't get a result which equalled or bettered 2009...

We did all learn a few things though:

ford cars have bad brakes going uphill.
ford cars have bad brakes coming downhill.
ford cars have rather dodgy fuel tanks.
Fire marshalls are greatly respected by ford teams.

The "King of the Mountain" is truly Peter Brock.
The "King of the Finish Line" is Holden. 28 wins for the lion, compared to 18 wins for the blue oval.
Two rookies did bloody well, especially in the rain!

The current commies and falcons (if you can call them that) have one year left in them, new format for 2013.

If Ford came last at every Bathurst I'd still have one.

Winning some Ocker saloon car race does not a great car make.

Besides, I just plain like Fords.

Just the same way I like Harleys - but have a Suzuki too

I also drive an Oldsmobile that use to be owned by George W Custer of Oamaru, I dare see you've seen it Mike?

Too true Jim, kids these days are never going to be able to say: "Wow, a real GT Falcon just like the one we saw racing" like they would have back in the late 60's - early 70's.

Oh, I thought that as long as you had a gtxs clubsport with red calipers and a loud exhaust, and then got your holden shoes, socks, undies, pants, shirt, hanky, aftershave, flag, sportsbag, mug, pencilcase, umbrella, sunglasses, deckchair, towel, poster, stickers, jigsawpuzzle, holden club membership, and the same for the missus you were all set up to race at bathurst.

That's only true if you bought the car last, and the accessories from cheapest to most expensive 1st heh.

Always been Ford proud, through good times and bad,was pleased Tander won,the new kid as co-pilot rocked,to beat a combo or Lowndes and Skaife is amazing and the vodafone team is pretty damn switched on and consistant,Lowndes reminded me of LP always creeping up the leader board in last 20-25 laps(LP-Larry Perkins).

And I will never jump from team to team every 5 yrs like some people do,they buy ford gear for a while then holden when required(unless a true Lowndes fan that is ok).

And Stone bros did well considering Giz planted it when contesting the finish.
