If your favourite Kawasaki dealer shut for a month and you were in the market for a new bike, you'd hardly go across the road and get a new Honda, would you?
If it was a give away I think she would eH!

Also does anyone have any details of local motorcycle clubs IE ones with club rooms or even meet at a pub that take on jap bike riders in the Hastings/Havelock or if need be Napier areas, the last club i was in was Amroc in Hastings but that closed down in 2001 just after i moved to the UK, i used to pop into Bay MCs in Hastings on occasion too when they sort of accepted Jap bike riders as long as you were from another club they knew...do they still exist or are they pretty closed on who rides into there club now?

    Any others?
Last I herd on the Classic I think the Boss blue a stack cos sporty's were doing wheelies and he told em all to F......Off so I dont no if we are allowed to ride with them on the Classic ride.
Through the Summer there will be lots of race meet rides and Track Days, just keep looking in here.

No you have been lead down the garden path again. Yes the boss blue his stack accusing the sport bike riders of the high number of mishaps on a ride. But it appears that it turned out that it was the guys/gals and learner riders that were involved in the indiscretions. One particular instance was that a learner rode into the rear of a stationary Harley.
The format of the ride has now been changed and hopefully things will sort it self out.
Be carefull out there where riding in groups. Its hazardous.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

I heard that 'sporties' were a particular model Harley. So it must be lies...we all know that Harley's can't wheelie...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

That is precisely why I like to be at the back...course it helps that I am too slow to be at the front!

Ahh i should be alright on a gixer, i have plenty of people down at the classic club that has known me for 10 years who are members down there now and where members in my old club that can vouch for me and my sensible style of riding especially in group rides, i also value my head bearings so i keep my tyres to the ground...last time i rode with them thought it was a old fella on a old BSA that was putting us young fellas on sports bikes to shame in the corners thought so they can be just as bad :-D ..but i will keep a eye on this section for the ride outs you guys arrange as well.

Also keeping it local to hastings/napier/havelock who is reliable for bike repairs/servicing etc, i do most of my own oil/filter changes but for things like tyres or chains etc?

Does not matter if they are a independent mechanic as long as they are reliable and trustworthy enough to do the job without cocking it up

Yes it is. He said he was going to be doing tyres as well when up and running, which might be by now.

Yeah he's set up in Ford Road in Onekawa industrial area. He's taken over the building that used to be Timmos or such like (the crusty old motorbike repair shop) Its had a spruce up and looking very tidy as you would expect from Craig.
