i dont think it matters sloan wont win on the bmw in f1 anyway even wit the extra track time. Nick cole for the win!

Hahahahahahaha!Read the whole thread and not just the bits that relate to your argument and you will see that I did quote somebody and did NOT mention Choppas name in that post.
Tom Peck and Suzuki NZ are the reason roadracing has the profile and support it does. The fact he doesnt like it when people drag their good name into a conflict in the public arena,Is all the more reason to respect him.
The fact that you are serving on a committee of the motorcycle club that runs one of the biggest club series in the country and you dont know who the people are that contribute the most to the sport,Does not stand you in good stead!!
Indeed, MY post was a reply to Jellywrestlers, which was a reply appearing to support a post by you, replying to a post by robgassit. The whole inference of both jellywrestler and your posts was that Mr Peck would hold it against the "whinger" who I took to be the starter of the thread (Choppa) - If that is not who you meant then perhaps you should clarify who you did mean ?
I believe YOU were the one who introduced his name into the discussionTom Peck and Suzuki NZ are the reason roadracing has the profile and support it does. The fact he doesnt like it when people drag their good name into a conflict in the public arena,Is all the more reason to respect him.
Stand me in good stead for what ? winning the trivial pursuits quiz about motor cycle sponsorship in NZ ?The fact that you are serving on a committee of the motorcycle club that runs one of the biggest club series in the country and you dont know who the people are that contribute the most to the sport,Does not stand you in good stead!!![]()

yes nick for a win![]()
If I was a major sponsor for a rider I am pretty sure I would want to see any press releases or statements to be made by that rider publicly before they went to air. Not necessarily to censor those statements, but to be able to discuss whether they were in the best interst of the team.
If a rider chooses to go looking for controversy, and finds it, I'm at a loss as to why he would then be surprised to find differing views to his, especially on this forum.
If in that statement he also admitted to previously entering a class he had no intention of racing in, just to get extra practice time, but then protest to being dealt with unfairly when the meeting organiser tries to find a fair way to prevent that reoccurring, after he received complaints, you would surely expect to attract both positive and negative views on those previous actions.
I've dropped plenty of clangers on here after posting late at night or when in a hurry. I've received the bollocking I deserved and have respectfully apologised.
We all learn pretty quickly that KB can be a real madhouse. I think it's easy for someone to have a brainfart blow back into his face on here.
"That's rooted!! What's next??"

Fair comments, I actually didnt do all the races at HDs last year because I got cramps so decided against BEARS for the rest of the day. At manfield I was out of the points so I just did the practice because everyone else had practiced friday and I had to work then at Wanganui I raced every F1 and BEARS race.
I did discuss this with my sponsors and they were equally if not more upset regarding the situation and I had there permission to discuss the situation. It does not reflect badly upon any of them infact it just creates more hype.

I dont think anyone will really be showing there hand at the Tri Series specially considering most are not doing wangas

To all those that think BEARs is a joke, a waste of space or whatever, perhaps attend the SOT in Feb and then ask the same question. Hundreds of passionate riders, gorgeous hand built and lovingly maintained and restored bikes and above all .... an atmosphere of fun, humour and enjoyable rivallry.
However, it's a stand alone meeting so it's different to the BEARs class being discussed here, which is mainly a Nth Island phenonoma because the BEARs down south are strong enough to run their own meetings.
But there is no doubt the landscape has changed with the BMW and Aprilla 4's being head and shoulders above the BEARs bikes of just a few years ago, so it's all unbalanced now and that balance needs to be addressed ..... something, it seems, that the Tri Nations organiser has attempted to do. It's pretty clear that Sloan did recognise that fact.
How the BEARs 'class' (as opposed to 'club') in these types of meetings will survive depends on how that balance gets addressed, but in the US the 'Twins' class seems to be the answer to that.
