I've got a Rev'It Tracker balaclava which I really like.

Thin material under the helmet and thicker wind proof material at the front of the neck. Also reduces wind noise and fogging is far less of an issue, compared to the neoprene face mask it replaced.

I Picked up a set of 3 fine knit tubes from TSS in Alicetown, about $25. You shove them down over your head and can use them as a neck roll, pull them up over your head as an open face hat thing or tuck an edge up over your face for the balaclava look. Or wear them as a head band if you have really long dreads like mine!

I have been using it to stop my dreads from dragging and pulling while I'm putting my lid on. Really good, I like them. and just enough to stop the wind hooning down my neck but not too bulky to restrict movement.

Saw one for about about $30 at one of those flash camping/hiking places recently. But it was for just one.

+1 Never ride without my buff, tube thingies. Covers my mouth, nose & ears & still tucks in.

Picked up a neck tube off Tme yesterday. Won a $1 auction. Scooterworld in Hamilton are having a clean out. It is a polar fleece material and for a measly buck I can't really lose.

Another trader has the same tube listed at $27.00.

Had a couple of spare woolen beanies, cut the top out of one and makes a good neck roll, no room under helmet for excess material and no room around neck of jacket for excess material either so no need for a long purpose built thing. Worn it a couple of times when colder but no need in this glorius weather

I bought the oxford snood pack of 3, love them and not bad at $30 for 3

I got a free thingy with my Oxford grips - like a neck sock thingy which I put up over the lower half of my face before I put the helmet on. Once it is on, i pull it off my nose so I don't fog up. It is really thin but very effective at keeping that draft out that comes up over your chin and freezes your cheeks and nose. I also have a thick neck sock that I chuck over the top to keep just my neck warm.
I have tried balaclavas and while they are toasty warm, it is an issue trying to put glasses on while wearing - keep missing my ears!

I wear a sports balaclava (polyprop) most times I ride ($10 from most sports shops)... a little care when putting sunnies on ... but no real issues ...

I use a neck warmer thing made of wool .. or my preference is really polar fleece I know you can make them long enough to go down the chest a little bit.

Yeah, I saw the way you pull yours up before the helmet goes on and thought I would try it, and it is the best way to wear it. Stops your lips getting dry and sore as well.

That was with the cotton ones .. I love those too .. got them from botany Honday ... if you want one let me know and i can send one up (slightly used but I promise to wash it first)
