Thumbs up Epic snapper fishing trip!

15 snapper in an hour and a half - two people fishing with softbaits, all fish 3-4KG+.

Take a couple of polybins and two bags of salt ice with you - you're going to need them! Awesome!

I've been fishing quite a few times...
All I ever catch are sharks. With the exception of one gurnard and a handful sprat with a bucket.

    Sharks are mean.
    You're mean.

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Looks like a typical fishing trip off Ohiwa ... the limit is nine snapper and I usually throw legal but small ones back and still hit the limit ... plus catch kahawai, gurnard, trevally and tarakihi.

Got my limit on Monday (9 snapper) fishing off Ohiwa ... including a couple over 10 pounds ...

I fish for food - the big ones are fun, but big snapper can be a bit woody to eat ... The kingfish will be coming in soon ...

Hmmm ... I could use some fresh bait ... especially large live bait ...

I have a 14 foot with a 30hp motor .. a big tinnie ... it gets me across the bar and onto the real sea .... and yeah I don't go far ... catch heaps of fish ... and watch the "big boys" go out to White Island or around the bay - and get stuff all ... I've yet to catch a legal kingie .. but I've only been here one season .. and I have been surrounded by the buggers .. and I wasn't set up to catch them ... I haven't seen any legal ones this year yet (got a few very illegal small ones so far this year ...)

I only started to fish last Christmas...never fished before (I'm 41 )...but its 2 minutes to the ramp from home and 5 minutes out to where I fish in the tinny....I haven't caught a Kingy at all...can't wait to land one though...it would be fun in my little boat, I hope I'm anchored when that happens lol...
