    MORE bloody tyres!

Damn - need new tyres. Again...

Every time I turn around the tyres have worn out. This'll be the third set I've put on this boike and the fourth set overall. Second biggest cost after gas.

Oh well, I guess fun comes at a cost, eh. Lucky I have a dedicated tyre fund. Pity it isn't full just now...

If ya want them to last longer ya just need to stop spinning them up everytime you turn around Admititedly this won't be anywhere near as fun but they will last longer

Just unplug two spark plugs, tyres will last heaps longer then!

Have you had the suspension done? I hear that can make a decent improvement to tyre life too.

I'm just waiting for my new set (2years on the front, 1.5years on the rear ), got to the palmy courier place 8 days ago but they still not got to my house

Yeah but they're out of stock of the fronts, and the rear's are $50 more expensive than what TSS Red Baron are selling them for.

TWO years? 1.5 years? Damn. I get about 5 months per set. Maybe I should unplug a couple cylinders... I haven't done anything to the suspension.

I use BT 016's. Get about 9000km/set. Front and back always seem to need changing at the same time.

    Dunno what you're complaining about?

Bought the BMW in January, so owned for 9 months, only had it for 4 of those months (the rest were in container or workshop), and the 5th set of tyres has just gone on...

If I bought those, and then got them fitted at my local shop, I would save $7.00 over the shop's quote. Which might not even cover the freight bill.

All academic anyway since it's booked for next Tuesday.

Five sets of tyres in four months..?

What DO you do to them? Ride 'em on volcanic rock or broken bottles or summat?

Just got me a new set of Michelin Pilot Road 3 two days ago for the grand challenge and properly scrubbed now with 1000km on them

    Put sports touring tyres on?

Just because its a sportsbike doesnt mean it needs sports tyres. Even BT023s will be fine on your gixxer if your not hardout. I used to run one on the rear of my TLR (tractions is a far bigger issue than a IL4 600), and they run admirably, better from cold and last longer. Actually got one going on the back of my motard this weekend along with an 016 front.
