What IS the cop ahead wave btw? I'm use to flicking the lights. But it's the same light flick I use on morons who don't have their lights on. So people get confused...

Arm straight up, rotating your fist like it's one of those old school flashing lights.

Or patting the top of your helmet with your left hand

The first one sounds like the queens wave. I've done something similiar before, spinning my index finger in a loop like a flashing spinning light.

Meh, from a reasonable distance, it'll look pretty much the same

LOL, you only need to know they ride! At times I can't help myself nodding at a biker when I'm in the cage. They are probably thinking "WTF cager?!" haha.

Yeah. This dude did the finger up and rotate like the old spinning light atop the car. I hadta have a really good look to make sure which finger he had up. Initially I thought it was the middle one but as I got closer I saw it was indeed the index finger...("gimme the fuckin' finger is it then? CUnt! I'll fuckin'...errrr oh hang on, wrong finger! coughcough"). So that was all right then.

    scumdog or rastuscat:

Is it illegal to notify another road user of a stationary patrol car? I assume flicking the lights is illegal as there are rules about when you can use high beams. But a hand signal ?
