OMG, Poor Mister S, being exposed like that for no apparent reason.

My pick is "The Muscle Inn", they brew their own beer, great food, its location means that you are well on the way to Collingwood & Farewell Spit for those who might want a longer ride via Pakawau to the Spit & return.

A ride for lunch "over the hill" will most likely rule out those arriving on saturday, being able to do it. Perhaps Pelorus bridge or St Arnaud ... a GOOD loop to and from Nelson that want it ... a good direct route for those that don't. And a good meeting up place for those arriving on the day ... from wherever ...

    Yep, you snooze you lose.

If things go to plan (unlike most of this year so far, so not placing any bets or paying any deposits) we'll be heading up friday, although may get sidetracked visiting on saturday and flag the lunch ride, too much bloody family living in nelson these days...

'Twould be a mortal sin to travel to Nelson and NOT traverse the mountain. Even if one does arrive on the Saturday they would have ample time to at least go to the top.

Is it really only four weeks and three days to go?

If the KB rally was down in the Christchurch area next year ... would YOU be able to ride down on the saturday ... in time for a ride to Arthurs pass maybe ... for lunch ???
