That's great thanks! I'm really hoping there will be someone there who can tell me how to drive this forum a bit better. I thought I had it set up to email me messages on this thread and ummmm it did once but I can't get it to do it again. Cross with myself - I'm a programmer, I should be able to drive it with my eyes closed

Six hardy souls arrived at the BK car-park, five meandered up Dyers, along the Summit Rd, out at Gebbies, and made a strategic withdrawal to the warmth of the Tai Tapu pub. That wind was blustery and cold. Never mind, I'm home now, and feeling grouse. Famous Grouse, that is - thank you!!!!!, Shadowjack-children!

Nice, me however was out and about in the car, buggered up my knee again yesterday. Minor car crash, jumped on the brakes and now my poor knee is swollen, however it won't stop me from doing the Magpie. Just have to take some painkillers!

Yeah, was quite happy to end up at TaiTapu instead of Little River this time.

It was warm(ish) and (very) windy on the way back through the bays. Great to get out for a mid-week ride again.

You see guys, when I sacrifice myself to work, the weather is ok. When I have a Wednesday night off work to ride it rains

    Sounds like you enjoyed yourselves
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Yep. Can't do things by half! Feels a little tender but all good. Car is ok and still drivable, damage to the right front wheel arch and bumper. Insurance claim is in (2 weeks before the renewal ) so all in their hands for the time being.

Glad I came to say Hi - I was freezing by the time I got home so good job I never ventured up the hill with you. Will pack a thermal next time, even if I am sweating my buns off when I leave home.

Just ordered a lowering kit for my bike so will be feeling braver when that is fitted - can't imagine trying to tackle somewhere like the Wheatsheaf carpark on it the way it is.

And I'm am still not getting notified of posts on here even though my settings are 'immediate by email' so I will just have to slack off my work and come and check you out more often.

    Friday night

Hey kids, if anyone is keen for a beer and pizza, I'm playing down at the Brewery in Woolston tomorrow (fri) night 11pm-1am.
Filling in with a friends band while he recovers from some health issues so never played this kind of music before (country blues stuff) and never played with the band before either.

Heckling is allowed in exchange for pizza!
