Can't say why, but apparently it's important that YT and I be in LH over the w/e.
We be in the carbut I can throw my gear in and I'm reliably informed that a bike (or two - for choice) will be available to me
Not looking for a race (borrowed bike and all that) but I'm not averse to getting out of first gear either....

I used to ride that hill back when it was not patrolled, had little-to-no traffic and I had a near-new T500. Then I took a Norton-riding mate pillion on a hot CB500/4. He swore at me...
Wouldn't want to ride it like that now. But I kinda miss those days...
