The cynic in me sees' this as a charitable promotion to fluff up their image in an attempt to divert attention from the downstream side of the industry.

Fark me milk in schools takes me back.

Given so much is NZ is not white, anglo saxon and protestant, just immagine the play ground after morning play time.

I'm a farmer so will be biased and i will stick up for my area of work.

We are dammed if we do and dammed if we dont.
everyone moans about the price of milk,
they moan saying its made here so why dont they get it cheaper.

it is good business that if i get paid more overseas for it why the hell should i discount it to people here just because it is made here.
I bet alot of the moaning fuks either do one of the following : drink piss, smoke, have sky tv, more than one car, buy labelled clothing, dont have a job,

Fonterra has decided to give the milk and the other shit that goes with it. yet so many people moan.
I dont want them giving product away to alot of kids, As far as i am concerned thats the parents and to a lesser extent the governments job.

Instead of alot of the people moaning about the price, they should get off their arse and go approach a farmer and buy milk direct off them.
I know a few who do this ,Instead of moaning about it ( which we are a nation thats fukn good at)

Or another one i hear alot of is, farmers are rich or man they are creaming it off us townies.
well if it is so good ,go try farming for a season,
you never know you may enjoy it, perks of meat , milk, house , on most places.
but it is easier to moan about it.

or another is dirty dairying, what about all the human shit pumped into water courses, tell your councils you dont want that so they should raise your rates to accomadate that extra work involved.
nah fuk that eh it might cost more and you already over paying for dairy products.

Thats my rant as some of the information is probably wrong but hey most of the comments i hear from people about farming are fukn ill informed most of the time but it does not stop them wanking on about it as i have above.

Sure Fonterra will be using this as a marketing ploy as they want to encourage the use of dairy so the younger people will want dairy products thus helping sales.
    But why not ?
    Alot of businesses do it,
    eg, Transpower, maccas, shell,
and at the end of the day it is the kids that will also benefit and i hope will benefit my business as it is the farmers that are investing the money into it.

Ummmmm have you ever been to Auckland or Wellington? 1.5 million people in Auck alone, how many farms are nearby that people with limited budgets can rock up to and purchase milk directly?

one i know of are all group buying it, and they are in Auckland
and they get a weeks worth , they have to travel up out of Auckland one time every 7 weeks to get the bulk amount of milk for the group.

i agree with the cow shit on the road , that fuks me off too, and is totally the farmers fault.
as for the trucks wrecking the roads, they pay their road users the same as every other vehicle. So aim that point at government

Dairy is the only reason NZ has not gone bankrupt recently.

It doesent need goverment handouts, Fontera is a farmer owner cooperative, so cant be brought out by some big overseas company, and the fuckers in the beehive can't sell it to the Chineese. Dairy is employing a heap of people, all new jobs. Dairy employ 600% more farm workers than traditional dry land farming just on the farms.

So theres some shit in the rivers, animals have been shitting for forty millions of years.
