    Thumbs up WTB: leather pants

hi, i'm in the market for some good leather pants..
i was looking for some that have Armour on the knees but don't have that knee slider sticking out.
i personally don't like that look of the knee sliders.. looking at $450 max large size any-one have anything like this? or can point me in the right place?

    thanks

You can take the knee sliders off most pants can't you?

I have a pair of these http://qmoto.co.nz/gear-shop/qmoto/q...&category_id=6 and the knee sliders are just velcroed on.

He used to do a range without the sliders but they appear to be discontinued.

    Also try http://www.1tonne.co.nz/index.php?pa...s&categoryid=3

Ok this took longer than i thought. You can see it just leaves a big black velcro patch. Whether that is a safety issue or not i have no idea!

Have some Ixon leather pants, can't remember the model, they have the Velcro patches for knee sliders but come with a leather patch velcoed over it instead of the plastic lumps, at a guess most will be like that, head into any reasonable bike shop and I'm sure they will have something that will suit.
On the other hand one of the bucket guys up here recons that sliders would have kept him out of hospital at one stage, chip seal ground through his leathers and into his patela at the Ohakune GP years ago, I know they look naf on the road (virgin knee sliders on race leathers at the pub always make me chuckle to myself) but they may help one day.

    How big is 'Large'?

I have some custom made Qmoto Turismo's in a 45inch waist... now that I've shrunk a bit, I could let them go...
