Looks like being a nice night for a ride.

Where ever you go, enjoy yourselves, and travel safely.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Anyone keen on the Greta Valley run that never happened? Or the Hurunui for pizza? Or both, go via Greta to the Hurunui then doddle home with full bellies?

I'll be out in Rangiora again tomorrow so could meet up with you, Gareth, before we leave.

Or a short pootle 'round the hills? I'm not fussed.

    What say you beautiful people?
I think that's a great idea - Greta and then Hurunui for pizza - where we going to meet you?

Ok, how about we meet in Amberly? Myself and Gareth, if he's keen, could meet you there. I'll aim to be there at about 7 which should work if you're leaving town at 6.30. I'm a patient waiter

Near the end of Amberly, when heading north, is a truck stop on the left with a huge area to pull in on the side of the road. I'll be in there very visible from the road as you approach.

My number is 021 135 4343, maybe txt me if you're not coming for some reason.

    Woo hoo!

    Fun ride tonight, thanks guys!

Bloody hell, it's not like me to get home at 11! Was a much longer WNR than usual, we went to check out the Hurunui pub, Wed is their pizza night. $5 Hawaiian, $8 Meat Lovers and $10 Lamb and Mint. Pretty nice pizza too, worth having a fun ride with good people to get some!

Was a pleasure to lead you all , Great night for a good long ride
A golf tee works ok as a screw and a scrap of duck tape, to hold a headlight in place
Great to ride Scargill Valley at that time of the night.
I had forgotten how much fun it was,
Took an effort to stay at pace for the whole valley.
I think I bought half of the night flies home on my helmet.
I couldn't resist a good blast over the Omai Saddle,
    Till next time,

Yeah I thought I seen you last night (twice) and was not sure it was you guys at first.
Once near the Greta when you regrouped but took off before I could see (I thought you were stopping there) and later on the road near the Mud House Winery.
It was not until I passed that I knew it was you guys and thought you will not be stopping again before getting home, so I carried on home. (I did do the special KB wave LOL)

By the way I was on the Bonnie. (yes it is mine again and my sister has a Thruxton now)

Bloody good night for a wee toodle on the Bonnie again.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

So that was you! I thought the rider looked at us quizzically after I waved at him, as we pulled away from the side of the road I thought "I hope that guy didn't think I was signaling to him that we needed help".
Had you pulled up along side as we went past the Mud House I probably would have recognised you but it was getting pretty dark by then ...

How is it having the ol girl back?

Did you get inundated with bugs as well? I had to clean the helmet twice on the ride and have just finished cleaning the bike (for the first time since I've owned it )

Man what a mess! Funnily enough, Mythbusters had an item on tonight about whether a bug could kill a biker by hitting their windpipe at speed. It couldn't unless it was some massive rare African thing that weighs a million tons at hits you in just the right spot going at 85 mph.
