Sorry Spyda,But I aint lettin Pete get away with that post,Its pure propaganda,
Pete you know as well as anybody does your post is full of mistruths,We on the roadrace commission made no changes to the streetstock tyre rules and I informed both Dennis Charlett and your self of this 2 weeks before Xmas,Any memos sent were from MCI and had absolutely no ratification from anybody on the roadrace commission at MNZ or as far as Im aware, the board.
It was my suggestion you create another class to get around the tyre rulings you were not happy about and I also informed Dennis and Angela Charlett at round 2 of the tri series at Manfeild on the 17th of December,That it was too late to change anything before round 1 of the Nationals and it would have to wait til the winter series,Somebody at MCI after that date sent out with acceptances for rd 1 new supp regs for that meeting that were not only invalid as they were not even sent to the roadrace commission to be signed off but were incorrect,The rules you mention in the new rulebook dont even exist as they were overlooked therefore the rules effective Jan 1st 2011 on the website are the rules and you damned well know it!!!!
I went well out of my way to try and come to an amicable arrangement with you,Dennis and Angela on this matter and to read this utter tripe on the internet disgusts me,The reason for anybody thats interested,We wont allow the use of 120/70x17 front tyres on the rear of an RG is because ALL the tyre importers with in NZ recommend you A dont run a rear tyre in the reverse direction on the rear of any motorcycle,B run a 120/70 on a 2.15 rim,The ramifications for MNZ if we end up in the coroners court due to the unthinkable happening are endless and its our job to look after the interests of ALL our members,NOT just a select few when it comes to legalities,But you already know all this because I took the time to ring you and talk to you one on one instead of it filtering down through the chain,So you would know the exact truth.I also notice youve negleted too mention through your post that one of your junior riders threatened an MNZ official with physical violence on the weekend just gone,Is that part of your junior training?????Lte him do it in front of me and he'll be up on a breach of conduct charge instantly.
Billy, myself, along with every steward in NZ got a letter from MNZ dated 22nd Dec 2011
stating the rules had been changed, along with a hardcopy rulebook confirming it.
If you want, I'll scan it and copy it on here. If members can't trust hard copy documents like that, what can they trust?
Dennis Charlett told me on Jan 2nd "good news Peter, MNZ have finally listened". With hand on my heart, I GENUINELY believed you or someone had finally got this long awaited correction done.
Tell me Billy, when did MNZ realise this "mistake". Was it 5 minutes after the riders breifing? Or earlier. Even telling the riders 24hrs earlier would've made a huge difference. Did they not know the day before? This is nothing but planned 1st degree bullying and if anyone is guilty of a breach of the code of conduct, it's MNZ for bring itself into disrepute.
Tell me Billy, why are MNZ not applying the same "policing" to other classes. I offered Jim Tuckerman a list of non compliances in other classes. If he was fair he'd have acted on it it. This is discrimination, another breach of the code of conduct, and the human rights act.
jeez...what a clusterfuck.
The Heart is the drum keeping time for everyone....
I think that the OOP'S award may need to go to Spyda just for starting this thread on KB!![]()
"Some people are like clouds, once they fuck off, it's a great day!"
Oops I forgot. No billy, physical violence is not in the training. But abuse is. I have to teach them they will get discrimination and abuse from officials (including MNZ) from time to time. It's quite common actually....
I wasn't aware of this threat you talk of, I'd certainly have something to say...But a I know a very nice 125 year old girl called Jim Tuckerman a Fuc....g Wanker. I corrected her, i said it should be "copulating masturbator" and then no bad language would be getting used
The real concern I have is the language of the MC at the prizegiving. Disgusting. I know most other clubs have no youth in them, but our one does, so standards DO apply.
I'll take the full rap for fucking it and apologize seeing as I was the first to slag off MNZ. My apologies Spyda.
Hey Ian dont let it it get to you,What an awesome job you did at ruapuna for the live commentery and timing. Spot on mate and look forward to seeing the team down in Sunny Southland!
I'm with you re Ian Dawson. Top bloke and his "behind the scenes" work is not recognised or appreciated enough for sure! Thanks Ian
The first time we met, 6 years ago, didn't go too good eh.... After a pat on the back for the good work developing junior racing in Canterbury you gave me some advice:
A) Don't waste your time trying to help other clubs to adopt your successful model. Egos will prevent it.
B) Forget MNZ. Because they don't (want to) understand it they will beat it up. Best to run your own domestic rules and keep your head low.
These things really pissed me off! Big time! But you were right and I was wrong.
Thanks again
The '09 Pro Twin championship was won with incorrect fitment (oversized) rear tyres.
The '04 600SP championship the same, but in this case undersized.
Not to mention countless F4, F5 and classic class titles
