Factory racer needs a bike (Wellington)

    Good day wellington racers.
Going to come down to wellington for the weekend of the 22nd and was hoping to race. Sponsor's wishes and so forth.

Tim has offered me the use of his mighty Lifan, which would get me running around in B grade, but there is possibility it won't get going in time.

Any of you boys or girls willing to lend me a bike in return for some cash for fuel and some beer for the effort. I will even attempt not to crash it. Promise.
Don't care how crap it is as long as it isn't an EN125. (I am happy to run in A grade if the bike is up to it)

Yeah I gotta bike. It's a little rusty and the wheels wobble a bit, but it's a 15 speed with those clicky roller things on the handlebars that change gears. All the cool kids had those back in the day. Cheap on gas too mate! Dunno if I'd take it out in A grade though.

    Wrong sort of factory.
This is a hair straightener factory. Good thought though.

Pffffft I will take it out in A grade. And thrash you on it. Didn't you hear? I am a factory racer.

Sheesh, a prima donna factory rider, no less.
As for the EN125, that's got a rider, so I read, and I doubt, with your attitude, he'd let you ride it anyways (I wouldn't).
You back up for our round the following week?

I was actually expecting Cotswold to be asking for a bike to borrow as he must be starting to miss riding by now, and has got months and months and months of hard yards to do before his one is ready. (I didn't see the Wellington bit from outside the forum, as I didn't have my glasses on and bow I'm typing blind as my screen shows white on white when editing damned posts, so apologies for any typos, but that's it)

If you are a 'factory racer' why don't you just stick to raceing factories?

Oh yes. And every time I don't win a race I will be making a formal complaint and requiting a full tear down of competitor's bikes.
What a pity I can't ride the EN125. A pure sports racer. (I think Tim's Lifan handles better, and that is like riding a bouncy castle)

Biggest mistake Cotswold ever made was selling an FXR. Not to mention all of the time he is going to be spending fixing it. [Cue hate from 2 stroke lovers].

I will be back for the 28/29th along with the Ginger one on his Ginger bike. Ready to kick some Auckland arse.

I would but they are a bit slow for my taste.

What is your taste ? You are a trainee engineer for a hair straightener factory, struggling to think of anything more bent.

Hello Dutchee, I must admit I was very close to trying to bludge a bike but I really want to get mine up and going, even with a standard motor for now and it is sat in my garage with no chain and no brakes and no exhaust, it does have a 17" front almost fitted. When is the next mnt wllgntn fun day? I may come over and wave a flag.

Ah now here is the thing I was a sponsored rider on an FXR, fast 4 was not mine to sell! My bike was never going to get finished while I was riding the diesel so I cut myself off, cold turkey, to prove I could give it up any time I want, after all I stayed off the track from 1994-2011 until some evil sod said turn up have a ride on my spare bike, it's just the once go on try it....... some folk recognize junkies.
As for the smokie it is being well prepared ( by the GP wizard ) and I hope not to have to do more than throw fuel and plugs at it.

Last weekend of the month. Henk'll be there to wave a flag and talk shit to (oh, if you don't feel like talking, don't worry, he doesn't shut up, and you don't even need to listen to the blather). Actually, he mentioned he should help JC out with the start/finish as Cully's healed and racing.
