We tried road race transponders with an MX system at Mt Wellington. Didn't work.

    Bump.... So its not forgotten.

    Don't Forget that you require a MNZ COMPETITION LICENCE;
I know everyone knows this but I though I'd post it anyway.

Crazy Man uses a MX one (yellow one) here at Minefield and its works fine with Tim's system.

Sorry to the organisers, but we're out for this one. We're doing/going to the NI series and this is right in between two rounds of that, and finances/time will only go so far.

If someone is going and needs to keep costs down a bit , I have a transponder you can borrow

I'd be keen on that please.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Here's a nice link for the event:

    http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/2012/ne...ship-rd5/taupo

First time since 1977 at Taupo(we may even have a program stored away, think ive seen it, I'll dig out and scan for you oldies out there). Anyone know if the F4 & F5 GP's been held at the same meeting as a NZSBK/National before?

it is it has to be said, by far, the most expensive bucket race I've ever heard of. And not even a bucket meet, we are 3rd fiddle. Who are we subsidising? I mean for F4 & F5 it will rush you $270 notes, heck maybe $340 if you have to hire 2 transponders.

Did PMCC lose money on the last GP? Shirley Knot.

$135 for a Summer Series round, thats a day, not two. How often are F4 & F5 on Taupo?

I'm just saying it will have a lot of people considering if they can afford it, myself included & I've raced every GP bar one since 1988.

I will be sending my entry in tomorrow. I love that track. I'm also looking forward to seeing some great racing from the rest of the classes. Will be great if we get the usual 40+ bikes. Fine weather the whole weekend please.

Im with F5DAVE at this stage,

I want to run F4 and F5 but am contemplating the cost,
any chance you could confirm the cost for both classes?

The other thing in the back of my mind is tracktime. How much would we get? roughly of course.

As for buckets at taupo, a few times a year if we were all smarter and attended pmcc summer series meets!

Best to contact Nigel : road.racing@pacclub.co.nz

Yep not all that often you see or get to ride F4's or F5's on Taupo track 2.
