    Pimp my letter box

Ok so we need a rural letterbox down the road at the corner with the others. I have noticed various boxs have wee personal touches like a V8 block or one at our corner stands on a 6 pot crank.
So giz ya ideas for a bike oriented letter box, best I can come up with is a tank on a set of forks with a mirror as the red flag thing they have... hit me people, then we will try and sorce the bits.
    cheers DD

A big ol' bike petrol tank?

With an old muffler under it for the local rag?

Mounted on a set of extended forks with a wheel in them?...

and old bike helmet. paint visor black, and cut a hole for mail to be poked through. you can lift visor to retrieve.
get medium sized race numbers to put on the helmet to indicate your address.

If you want a tube for the newspaper, and old exhaust with the back cut off would look good, IE. helmet facing north, exhaust tip facing south, so the paper can be pushed in, if you get what I mean?
helmet face forward, exhaust face back. cant think how to explain better.

How on earth is a helmet sized letter box big enough out rural? Unless it's only us who always get loads of suspicious brown packages...

Bike seat hinge-mounted on whatever recepticle for the mail. Lift the seat to deposit/retrieve mail. Add whatever bike bits you want around that to complete the bike to whatever extent you want. You could even sit on it while you wait for the postie to bring your monthly selection of publications in 'plain brown wrappers'.

    Hmmm, bike themed...

I'd just go for something simple and paint the ACC logo on it.

Should be lots of cash coming your way for no good reason.

A scoot with the front wheel half buried in the ground, and rear up in the air so you use the seat storage as the box, small parachute tied on the back to flap about in the wind a bit, faceplanted 'scarecrow' draped over the handlebars (head and arms must be durable as they'll be run over fairly often when delivering/collecting from a car window). Big packages can go in the step through bit, plenty of room for papers and mail in the dry storage, and you could still rig up a mirror as the collection flag.

Whatever you do make sure it's strong enough so it won't randomly grow wings one night and fly away.
