Is it stuffed or just not pumping, I had a SS and the hose split...sometimes it ran ok.... also the tank rusted inside badly. I tried a filter from a crowd in Dunedin but it was different enough for me to have to take it all apart twice....
I have heard you can run external pumps...

No where to hide an external one on a monster really. A mate just got a replacement tank and pump from the Ducati wrecker down in Christchurch I think, had a different type of pump. So they must be available.

did a bit of search....looks like a Ford Laser one might fit...if the pressure is similar...
The original one is a Bosch.
    Good luck.

    Unhappy Fuel pump

I found out you can get after market ones from Ducati Spares Dunedin Thanx Andy. However I can't get this pump to work either. Fuse is not blown it clicks when you turn it on but does pump. Bugger I haven't plumbed it all up does that make a differance?

Plumbing it up shouldn't stop it from pumping. There should be a relay somewhere that runs it, I hazard that it's the problem. Should cost about $12 to replace.

To find it, follow the wire from the fuse.

Mine was intermittent too.... ended up running the engine with the fuel filler removed and on reserve....the old hose had a split in it and when the pressure built up the fuel came out. I take it you put new hoses and filter in.....
Took me quite a while to find this....it would run ok....then stop for no apparent reason then run fine of days.....

    pumps good

I can't get it to start as the fuel pump wont go. So its either a sensor thats not working shutting fuel pump down or earthing out somewhere It clicks at the relay. I'm thinkin I mite take it down to Hamilton Motor cycles ,given me the shits.
