Well one week out from the big day, and Clive seems to be feeling quite confident in his ability to takeout the whole street stock field on the RideLife 150.
I'm thinking a little bit of 'all in' mind games might help to break that 'GP Racer' type concentration on the task at hand he possesses.

Now, I'm not suggesting Anything that going to completely ruin his race of course, but if we could get him to a point where... Every time someone pats him on the back, and says "Good luck Mate!", He's left with the though in his mind... 'What have they done Now!'

Just the simple things that can throw your game, like....

"Good luck Mate!" with one hand... while the other hand is turning off the fuel tap.
"Go hard falla" while 'adjusting’ the kill switch.
Or even 'Tag teaming' it. One draws his attention, while the other flips off one of his spark plug leads.
Now I wouldn't what to go as far as suggesting to the marshals about 'accidentally' putting the white flag out one lap too early just for him.... but you get the drift of the idea I'm sure.

"That tyres a bit flat Clive / Chains a bit loose / Is there suppose to be a bolt in there?"
All classic lines used to rattle a competitor just as the gate opens for warm up lap.

Feel free to be creative.... without damaging my bike of course. I'm sure Clive will see to that before the day out on his own!!

    Cheers

No, I haven't been sulking. I've been trapped in the shed for two days changing the bloody fork oil on GR's KR. Is it possible to design a more Micky Mouse fork cap system? Nothing that big hammers, sockets jammed into tight places and lots of waving around of arms couldn't fix.

Is this where I suggest Mihi slide some raw chicken into your beer the night before the race?

Oh there won't be any beer the night before.
I will be watching my boy to make sure he is fit and rearing to go.

I will be having the beers thanks very much, but you can forget that raw chicken.....

You'll be making him eat pasta instead of pies next and sending him to bed early.
I have this horrible feeling that next time I meet Clive he won't be the same guy. Or at least not as much of the same guy.

You just leave the beer drinking to us broken old men young lady. I don't think I could cope if you beat your old man and I both sometime, and we didn't have at least a hangover as an excuse.

Blast. I was hoping that no one would notice and instead pay attention to threads about the election and other more important issues. What about that World Cup eh?
Definitely got taken to school. GirrlRacer got her game face on and responded to the conditions with her trademark smooth riding with a good dose of aggression. Many thanks to Alex of Ridelife (DP Brakepads and Heidenau tyres) for the opportunity to showcase my heroic riding skills

Sorry, politics bore the crap out of me. I was way more interested to find out the result of the race of the century/banks. Did think the lack of response was probably due to the schooling someone got hahahaha

Unless you come to some of the North Island bucket meets, probably won't see you to Easter now and by that stage I'll have forgotten I'm meant to laugh at you, but Rich can on my behalf hahahaha
