I'm thinking a little bit of 'all in' mind games might help to break that 'GP Racer' type concentration on the task at hand he possesses.
Now, I'm not suggesting Anything that going to completely ruin his race of course, but if we could get him to a point where... Every time someone pats him on the back, and says "Good luck Mate!", He left with the though in his mind... 'What have they done Now!'
Just the simple things that can throw your game, like....
"Good luck Mate!" with one hand... while the other hand is turning off the fuel tap.
"Go hard falla" while 'adjusting’ the kill switch.
Or even 'Tag teaming' it. One draws his attention, while the other flips off one of his spark plug leads.
Now I wouldn't what to go as far as suggesting to the marshals about 'accidentally' putting the white flag out one lap too early just for him.... but you get the drift of the idea I'm sure.
"That tyres a bit flat Clive / Chains a bit loose / Is there suppose to be a bolt in there?"
All classic lines used to rattle a competitor just as the gate opens for warm up lap.
Feel free to be creative.... without damaging my bike of course. I'm sure Clive will see to that before the day out on his own!!
Cheers
