Camping gear safety?

some camping grounds have lockable cabinets where you pay a fee $2? for a day,
Airports also have lockers, as do some major bus depots.
And dont underestimate the local laundry mat.
I have had the need in the past to leave baggage with them for small fee.
Your options are only a short as the steps taken to explore them

spot on man, I was thinking same thing with the lockers. I am only taking a tent a sleeping bag and a mat. Also a 35 litre ventura pack bag which i have zipped tied to the bike as it always stays on it as annoying to take off. Had never had problems in carparks with it even tho its empty o.0 But i can take off when camping and put in locker if they have one...and tent beddind shud be all good on its own.

they might work stuffed in the bike pack when parked unattended, and lock the pack to the frame, and locks on the zippers, so there is reasonable relaxation while enjoying other activities, plus bike perimeter alarm and tilt switch.

Tie a shotgun to the zipper and when it gets unzipped it somehow triggers the gun?..

Most Tent doors are double zips these days, eg open in both directions, all I did on a recent 10 day trip in the South island was lock the Zip together with a small padlock if I felt the need, this included leaving the tent up overnight in Fairlie with most of my non riding gear in it while attempting the
DB1K.
The Padlock on the zip well only stop oppurtunistic thief’s, but that is all most security device's well do in a tent.

I doubt people will touch anything securely strapped to a large motorcycle. Leaving in your tent is a different story - I'd expect it to walk for sure.

I used these when I had my ventura bag on my VFR - lightweight metal mesh that you put over your bag and whatever else you can fit inside then lock onto the bike. Apparently very strong. Not as quick as lockable panniers but pretty effective. They also do a very good helmet bag that I still use if I'm doing a big trip and want to lock up all my riding gear in the hard panniers - there's no room for the helmet so I put it in the bag that is waterproof and padded - then lock it to the bike. Very useful.

I take my gear camping but I also make my wife watch gear while i run around hills with gerber knife and lensor torch going kinda feral
