Why do you ask?...do you take offence to me posting an example of "bad apples" ruining the efforts of so many good Police to ensure public trust etc

And what do YOU do for a job?

Ohh, and for the record ONE of my previous "customers" WAS the NZ police (whom I have nothing but respect for ...but bad apples...is bad apples!-whom I have NO respect for)
So why only ever, and this goes for the rest, post up stories about police officers? easy target i guess.

Because a coppa started this thread crowing about how their respect ratings had improved so in good KB style the messenger
I figure if he is so concerned about the way they are viewed, and they should be, then best he knows how we feel they can improve their standing. Only trying to be helpful
No, I would like them to be respected but feel that, since I was a kid, they have fallen a long way and not backing off on moro bars as cellphone or air guns etc doesn't help them regain ground.

+10 me too, not discussing tenuous moments for the police dont help them learn from their mistakes.

our feedback reaches only a few, and is a fairly good sounding board??...umm.... some of the time

I'm really hoping on a sense of humour though

I would suggest you check my previous posts before speculating Boris, I always rigorously defend the police (and have repeatedly put my arse on the line when they were in need of assistance - I ran bars etc for 14yrs)

I posted that story as the thread was in regards to the publics level of trust and opinion of the police (hence the RELEVANCE) And as I clearly stated, I was surprised that particular story wasn't mentioned before due to it standing out as a poor example of winning public trust.(once again...relevant)
I also CLEARLY stated in my original post that I viewed it as a case of "bad apples" ruining all the fine work of so many GOOD police.

Did I shit in your weetbix this morning Boris?...are you IN a crane presently and left ya lappy down below (hence the reading probs)

    I will AGAIN clarify:

I DO NOT! post anti police statements etc, I HAVE and always will support the police (Two family members are cops!, And one is ambo) And I have NOTHING but respect for the poilce and the difficult job they do.

Please read posts carefully before "attacking" your brothers...especially when they agree with you

Boris is usually the attacking troll. Now he is the protective troll. Either way it has worked. He must be bored, no sunbathing yummy mummies to perve at from the crane perhaps.

BTW Boris, I too ensure your interwebs break regular like and have past several police checks, both security and character.

Is it trolling to disagree with what you post?

But you haven't disagreed with what we have posted you have disagreed with the posters. You have shown a disregard for the subject of the thread in doing so. May be a mistake in overlooking how the thread started and what it is about, we all make them, but in other thread you seem have come in to have a stir. Then again perhaps I judge you a bit harshly on your nickname, maybe you are a toothless Russian and not a biter after all (Boris being a typical Russian characterised type name).

    You know nothing then

From what I've seen of your posts, you appear to be a Govt (& dept's) brown-noser (which surprises me you work with cranes), what I posted was relevant to the thread. Then you blindly jump to the defence, you would make the perfect patriotic American.
I defend the cops when they deserve it & attack them when they abuse their powers, or fail to uphold the minimum of standards we should expect from them (which tend to hit the news more). You on the other hand seem like you would still blindly follow, obey & defend them even if they were beating you with sticks like the LAPD just for crossing the road wrong.

Respect is earned, NOT a privilege. This goes for the cops too...

I like cops, usually like to have a beer and a laugh, shame the job is so stressful, and bad apples get thrown in the good apples face.

I'm coming from wanting to highlight the handling of mentally affected NZers. The NZ public including youth and children... with pervasive developement disorders are over represented in crime statistics.

A lot of the time they are those arrests that seem a little unfair, or somehow could have been done different. A lot of the time, the police dont like the tard, or communication is too different and unfamiliar for them..... and they show discretion proportionally.

That scenario is parallel in the wider society, not just police. So its hardly fair for me to be highly critical of good kiwis doing their job.

Its just that with police you can get your ass kicked for being a retarded dumb fuck. Its a kind of racism I protest, and its not just me, but the wider mentally disabled community that also feel this way.

    I'm trying to help

I have disagreed with the way curtain posters always go after the police like SS does.
I saw what the thread was and knew what it would become.

And no you were right the first time just board and SS is easy to wind up.

And you think you do? You are right respect is earned and what have you done that deserves respect?
From what i have read nothing.

I have't defended anyone I just asked the question why do you always find the stories that bring the police down?
That's right it doesn't make a good story when someone does something right, always easier to poke crap at others.
I would really like to see where you have posted a positive story about the police.

Your right but news is nearly always bad, and thats what news is, bad luck stories. We talk about what we read in papers and hear on the news. We argue over it until a new bad luck story comes a long.

Could be different, should be different, but its not. In defence of KB police talk though, KB supports the police in many threads, tons of links to stories about angry nut jobs going berserk and getting their ass kicked.

Most bikers here cheer the cops more than most NZers, and have an odd relationship....
