Stock standard making high 90 to 100 true rear wheel hp. Crank hp doesn't matter (to me anyway), as it's rear wheel hp that actually counts.

    See here...

    Apparently.

P'raps what oab was getting at was this: http://www.factorypro.com/dyno/true1.html

Not all horses are created equal...

Edit: but even the li'll ones can kill you.
    Exactly.

Exactly. He hasn't come on here wanting an opinion on an R1 etc, but a 600 that is best suited to road riding. Nowhere does he ask which one wheelies the best, pulls the most girls or has the highest speed.

BIKE magazine says of the CBR600RR,
"The best balanced bike ever? Quite possibly. Even if you've never wanted a sportsbike, ride one - it's sublime."

And I sure as Hell would like to ride one, even if I did look like Humpty Dumpty.

Don't listen to bike reviews. I haven't read a bad review on any bike for ten years, but I've ridden some fuckin bad ones in that time.

CBR600RR, Balanced they say? How can that be when you have so much weight on your arms and you can look nearly straight down and see the headlight.

L2 GSXR 750. EVERYONE who rides it, says it's fuckin awesome in every way.

Haha, you're gettin' old Drew! The Ulysses membership is in the post ol' fulla.......

Oh yeah, have you tried the pommy Performance Bikes? Not cheap but worth it if you're into real world performance bikes/mods and real world opinions. More IoM than MotoGp, which suits me just fine.

BIKE will mention problems, one was to the effect "We didn't think anybody made bad bikes anymore but.....*
They went on to detail what they didn't like and then mentioned that none of the testers even wanted to ride it.

I don't think that's what they mean by "balanced". But I still want to ride one.

The GSXR 750 is great and has for some time been a choice of discerning riders

    * I'll leave out the manufacturer & model because I don't want to upset the poor unfortunate buggers that own one.

Umm, the '04 zx10 has a fantastic motor. Delivery is raw but manageable.

    Brakes are strong.

Mid turn stability is up with the best.

Aaaaaaannnd then there's corner exit... Just a touch unpredictable with the swingarm being so short, and the bike trying to turn itself inside out as soon as you turn the throttle. Just ask Mr Bradford, (sugilite).

So, on the '05 they extended the swingarm to try and balance the thing. Result? A slow turning version of the same, that's twice as hard to wheelie. I think mostly due to rear linkage geometry not being suited to the swingarm length, (but that's a total guess).

Can't focus on the bad totally though. The ten is a very fun bike to ride, and for the most part comfortable over most distances. Aggressively styled and appealing to hoons the world over.

Yes Suzuki SV650S, since it is S version i liked the seating position. The bike is a V-Twin so highly manageable. I found it very smooth even on the first ride on it. But i couldn't get hold of any of the inline 4s out there.

    GN250 would be my guess.
SV650S would be ideal for getting into the big power game. Smooth is great for rolling on the power out of a corner. Do you really want any more power than that?
