    Yoshimura RS-5 slip-on exhaust for ZX6R 05-06

I just bought a 2005 Kawasaki 636 in the weekend and it has a standard exhaust, so I'm in the market for an exhaust with a bit of rumble.

I've looked at the Yoshimura RS-5 Slip-On Exhaust and it seems to be in the right price range for me. Does anyone have any good websites or places where I could order one from? I've looked on http://www.solomotoparts.com/Yoshimu...or-ZX6R-05-06/ and it seems to be the best price and I'm awaiting confirmation from the site that they can ship it to me.

Also, has anyone had any experience with this slip-on exhaust? I want an exhaust that isn't too loud during idle, so I can talk to pillions and I don't get too much attention but sings when I take the bike up the rev range / find my nearest tunnel.

    Cheers

I got my Yoshi from BikeGearWarehouse (Aus). Was about 60% of the NZ price.

I've checked out BikeGearWarehouse but they don't seem to have any sadly and Motomummy are US 100 more the SoloMotoParts for the carbon/carbon exhaust that I want. Hopefully SoloMotoParts will get back to me today about the exhaust

    Thanks for the help guys.

There's not much in it for carbon/carbon
    • motomummy US$473 here
    • Solomotoparts US$467.46
    • Sportbiketrackgear US$456.46 here

+1 for Motomummy, I've had no hassles with them buying slip-ons or electronics. Sportbiketrackgear are also good but take 3 weeks to deliver vs 2-3 weeks for Motomummy. Don't know why.

Also, are you sure you don't want a stainless steel canister since its an under tail? My SS/carbon tip RS5 (CBR) had lots of small dents from all of the stones flicking up. Would carbon get ratty?

Motomummy seem to be a lot cheaper in shipping at US $30 while Solomotoparts is US $75 and Sportbiketrackgear varies depending on the part size.

Great thanks for the help. I may got with the stainless steel slip on so that it doesn't get to ratty / it's a bit cheaper too.

I may just buy it from Motomummy as I don't mind waiting to get the exhaust.

Motomummy might send an email requesting additional $20, so total shipping= $50. They did with mine but it was a simple process using paypal.

The exhaust arrived really quickly (about a week before I thought it would) and I didn't have to pay GST. I'm not sure why because the order was over NZ$400 and Motomummy declared the true and full value (... or not)
