The bikes they ride cant corner fast enough.

Second hand shops often have them. About $150 for a jacket. Old style jackets ... designed before armour was invented.
I have a very similar one ... I got it second hand over 25 years ago. I only wear it in fine weather with lots of people able to see me.![]()

Did the fonz wear armour? No.
Just get a normal jacket with armour. What difference does it make?
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
Then again, apart from possibly spreading some sorts of impact forces, what real use does armour have. You will find many bikers who have injuries caused by armour.
I have some garments with armour, others without. It's not on my list of "must haves" when buying gear. Comfort, durability and fitness for purpose however are.
One could be mischievous at this point and ask which are the dickiest: squids or tassel-wearers?

I have seen some tool riding a pink S40 Boulevard in full Alpinestars leathers once or twice.
