Hi Larrry, unfortunately our store is unable to accept credit cards, however we do take cash and only charge a small commission to do so. All goods shipped will be well packaged for shipment to the UK.

I would have to say that a freebie email address IS a factor when I assess the bona fides of an email query. But it is not the only factor nor one of the most important.

Put it this way - I have not had an obvious scam from a paid account - they have all been from freebie accounts.

On a serious note - have had many scammers with @xtra.co.nz and @iinet.com.au accounts. Something to watchout for.
I generally don't filter anymore.
As mentioned earlier - Obvious scammer is obvious and I can clear the 200 or so I get a day in about 5 minutes.

The guy who wanted me to ship 28 cases of Rockburn Pinot Noir to Japan wasn't either...fuck'im.

That was the first one - about 5 years ago. I went behind the scenes with that one and found that his shipping agent (supposedly in the UK) didn't exist. And his claim to be 'merikan sounded a little flakey too given that he was technically illiterate in Engrish...oh and he was using a free email addy as well.
