    Leather pants?

    Hi.
Im looking at buying some leather pants to complete my kit.
Im after something with decent protection and something i can wear on track days, for the least amount of money.
Does anyone have any suggestions on good pants?
Trademe is full with 'Moshin' brand and 1 tonne, are they decent/ good value? they seem fairly cheap.
    Thanks

It was to my understanding that you either have to have a full leather suit, or full circumference zip attaching leather pants to jacket to be allowed on a track. Unless that's what you're looking for in these leather pants.

Yes. My jacket has an attaching zip and im after pants with the same.
Most seem to have them anyway, and im assuming theres no real compatibility issues with different brand pants and jacket.

Superman is correct re track days.

Don't assume compatibility. There is more than one size of zip. Check they'll zip together first.

If they don't insist on zipping two pieces together, they should. Nobody wants a filed spine...

Hampton Downs, ya gotta be zipped up.

I was referring to the claim, by superman, that it has to be leather.

Do you mean zip around completely or is just the 8" zip at the back fine for track days?
I want pants that zip up at the back anyway.

Oh - sorry - I thought you meant the zip bit.

At HD you hafta have leather though. No synthetics permitted.

Hell, back in the day when I used to race regularly (quite some time ago you unnerstand - like last century) you didn't have to have anything much apart from a helmet. I regularly raced without either leather or synthetic stuff - and armour wasn't even invented.

Since our days Slo, they've made the front wheel turn on its own, put air in the tyres. not sure if you are still allowed to puff on a pipe while 'racing'

: Yeah - that's true. The bikes go a little faster too...my current bike goes about 2.5 times the speed of the first thing I "raced"...:whistle"
