So long as I'm awake on time I will ride to Reefton. Then probably come back via Arthurs, though that might be on Sunday.

Listening to the rain outside and wondering whether I'm actually awake or not...
Fog's a bit of a dog where I am, but i wont be a lazy cog... time to get meself sorted, spossed to be a nice day everywhere. Even if I dont have a beer.
I'll be there.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!
What an awesome ride! Well done TA! We went to Reefton-road a bit damp between Springs and there. I had a quick coffee,-met up with Richard and his wife, while the others put the food bag on and focussed on their suntans, and we took off for the bottom of the upper Buller. OMG! F@#king brilliant!
Got to Murchison, had lunch, blasted the Shanendoah back to springs, thru the Lewis and home. Simply awesome day! A bit tired now![]()
Yep, brilliant ride.
Ended up doing the little big block with everyone that didn't do SV boys extra.
Great weather by the time we exited the fog out Amberley way, light traffic, all good, very happy.
The Airhawk2 helped. ~$140 delivered it was, it's a trick baffled air cushion, the best thing since sliced bread.... not that I ever sat on sliced bread, but now my butt could easily do the day again where as it would be a bit tender in just 200km on that seat with out the new support.

That was funIt's a bit to different to go that far and end up back at home, normally it's to a rally and a night in the tent. How civilised - I must do it again one day. I might try the SV boy route next time and have lunch at Murchison.
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

Ripper, and funny ya say about the ending up at Home FQ... I was just discussing the same fact with WifeyBullet just a few minutes ago... I know I wont wake pissed, hungover and having to pack a tent and ride home with only a few hours to spare before sleep and work begins again.
Really enjoyed making the ride and getting around the block as we did. Enjoyed the lunch in my BirthTown.
