If there's a group of us heading from central Wellington out there, I'd be keen to join up (GM, Samwp etc).

I'm doing a test run to the hutt to have lunch with my grandparents today, so I'll know if I want to attempt a largeish group ride on wednesday later today. I'll probably be sitting there wednesday morning having a whinge about how I'm nervous and all that crap, but I'll probably still end up going. I've done over 300kms already! Not bad for 9 days of ownership

Take the 'average' and work it out on the fact i didn't actually ride every day. I rode saturday, sunday and monday and today. Its now up to about 400.

Nah wasn't me in petone yesterday, I was staying off my bike with that hangover.

I did ride from ngaraunga to melling via the motorway! Nothing too dramatic, so I will be doing the wednesday ride at this stage.

I've been there with the nerves. There are heaps of supportive riders around Wellington that will make you feel welcome.

    You'll be just fine

Just keep an eye out for a black Katana and come up and say hello. Quite happy to ride your tail to give you some protection. There will be a number of the Bronze members turning out so we'll look after you. I think the Bronze members are meeting at the duck pond Avalon and riding to mainstone en mass. (I'll need to check that out).
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

    Hey folks,

Any decision made on riding as a group from Welli out to the meeting place in the Hutt? I'm keen to take my youngun' along on this ride and we'll be heading out from central city. Could even meet at a cafe first for coffee?

Sounds grand rustyrobot by my calculations we would need to meet at 9:45 to arrive at the park ontime.

Also if we have more than a handful of people, parking may become an issue.
Post counts are for wankers who aren't out riding

9:45 sounds about right - but you could be on to something with the parking. Will have a bit of a brainstorm on central(ish) cafes with a spare bit of concrete nearby.

Salvation coffee on adelaide road. Has a large parking lot right beside it, and is conveniently close to my place

We could meet up with the bronz guys at avalon to give those with minor ass padding a chance to stretch their legs?

I think I'll aim in that direction then. I don't have a hi-vis like someone suggested I should have, and theres no way I'll have a chance to get one before hand. So I'm not wearing one.
