Got it new and spent some coin on it and in 12months everything chrome had rusted and been replaced under warrenty. Lovely bike but I lost faith and sold it after all the chrome issues. Always garaged and never riden in the wet. So much fun to ride but so disappointed with the rusting.

That's pretty unacceptable (except it's British, so it's kind of expected)

Yep and it wasnt just small dots of rust. Rims, spokes, headlight rim, mudguard supports, shocks, mirrors and handle bars. I think the other chrome bits were chromed plastic lol.

My latest obsession is carbon fibre on the MT. I found it was easier than polishing dirty parts.

yeah, been watching your MT-01 develop, to say i am envious would be an understatement.

Since they first come on the market, I have desired to own one..

To me they are what the Harley Sportster should have become,

Having taken one for a test ride, I will have one parked between my XS1100's one day,

But need to get my full license first

Could always get an XR1200..... even I admit that's a nice looking sporty and performs about the same as the MT.

I thought the MT would out strip one of them?
