Thinking about this and we were probarbly all like it when we were younger but we all grew out of it with one exception. Ginger Midget may well be getting to that stage where she realises that its just not worth it anymore and needs to make that transition from "young drunk and stupid" to "slightly older, drunk occaisionally and a bit less stupid" or therabouts.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

If you're that serious about your health then you wouldn't drink soft drinks.

Sounds exactly the behaviour that's said to characterise alcoholism. Often wondered if it were that simple, though.

I like an occasional indulgence, most flavours. Guess I’m lucky, I rarely fail to stop somewhere between mild buzz and paralytic.

Being drunk is at the bottom of my list of fun ways to alter my neurochemistry.

Unfortunately, since I get the standard battery of construction industry drug tests at work, ethanol and LSD are all I really have. And, as the Cookie Monster would say, acid is a Sometimes Thing.

So it's drink or be sober.

I'm mostly sober at the moment cos I'm training. But, truth be told, it's pretty boring.

I should make the point that personally, I dislike getting drunk in large groups. Most people are really quite annoying and unpleasant when they're drunk. If all y'all find 'parties' inseparable from drinking, I'm not surprised you're becoming teetotallers.

I ain't that serious about my health (as in being a gym bunny, or going vegan etc), just a few little tweaks here and there, and being sensible.

Stopped drinking about 2yrs ago and smoking at same time. Dont like making a idiot off myself when drunk as most times I would binge drink. For some reason latly tho I have been thinking about tobacco.

It took months of tests to discover my liver doesn't process alcohol, in even small amounts and around 3 years for the liver to recover. Now I have cut back to only the occasional drink my general health has improved and specific health issues have gone. At first I continued to go to the pub and drink ginger beer etc; now I have become one of those people who don't go to the pub. The motorcycle and other interests now fill what would have been pub and recovery time.
    There is life without alcohol.
    Here for the ride.
