I work in Taupo a bit and have found a bakery there with the best pies in the world!* The won the supreme pie award for their "Bacon beef mushroom and cheese pie" om nom nom. Paetiki bakery, you wont regret it.

Then after you have the pie do a lap of the lake, actually quite good roads and usually pretty empty.



*World, by my definition excludes over seas just cos.

Allright dude the challenge is on!Where is the Paetiki bakery? I'm heading up there soon and will road test one but it will have to be fucken good to beat a turangi beef and onion!

There it is, up Rifle range road. Unless you get there early I can guarantee the the chicken and cranberry pie will be sold out (still haven't been there early enough )
