    Good riding thread.

I stopped for lunch at Mangawhai (and always chuckle at the Magical Mangawhai sign) last week after doing a Whangarei and Waipu run.

As usual it was a great ride through a beautiful area.

Went a tad further than Mangawahi...rode about 140Ks NNE of Warkworth.
A few showers crossed our path once the road got all twisty...wet conditions coupled with mud on the road in places (from farm trucks/tractors exiting paddocks) made for a slower ride through that bit. Was a touch slippery in places...next time, I shall order up some sun.
But anyway..what a cool place to graze and drink coffee...food was excellent and a number of other bikers must have thought the same.
The ride out was sunshine all the way, once out of the twisty bits...
The bikes are very very dirty and shall be washed before being put away...

Quick stop at Te Hana on the way back to get a pic of a Trike Carving...very cool.
Not a maori carving to be seen...out of season they reckon

Lovey ride out. Pity about the rain and clay, my poor Millie is so filthy Even my boots look like I have been riding off road. Still that kai was yummy as was the coffee. Good company too

As stated in the 1st post, these rides are 'Impromptu spur of the moment lets ride' which ends up being (90% of the time) the best time spent on a bike.
We tend to look for places more.... not usually ventured/frequented? rather than the 'norm'...

Keep an eye on the thread Zedder, mostly I will post the day/evening before.

Leaving Warkworth at 10am tomorrow for a Funky Ride...
From Warkworth to lunch 166 kms/128 return = 294 kms.

From the Nth Shore to lunch 213 kms/177 kms return = 390 kms for the day.

Mint day to be out on the bike...
Paparoa/Oakleigh road was in great condition...had a blast through there.
Met up with newhere at Maungakaramea.
Thanks for joining us Carmel, always good to catch up.
Took Snooks road to SH14 then onto Baylys Beach via Dargaville.
Spent 1.5 hours at Sharky's where a couple of 12 year old kids made the best Chicken/Bacon burgers and wedges
    Diet? what diet....

I had a great ride today, it was lovely to catch up with you, I dont remember the last time we rode a ride together. Was a bit ticked off that a Stock truck and trailer turned into Paparoa Oakleigh Road just ahead of us, but luckily we managed to get past it. I really enjoyed that burger too, so naughty but so yummy

Maha murdered a bird in Maungaturoto on the way home

Was that Murray we saw in Wellsford this morning?
