I really don't care if Allison Mau has chosen another woman as her partner. Its weird but harmless too. If she and her friend are happy - good.
I thought this alternative sexuality thing was publicly accepted 10-15 years ago. If some folk want to make peculiar personal choices, what the heck. It doesn't mean they aren't good people, capable of kindness and contributing to our community.

I disagree, the reaction to Ms Mau's grandstanding is indistinguishable from the scorn and abuse Lucy Lawless copped for her Greenpeace stunt. People are just sick of being lectured by d-grade celebrities who think their opinions are more valid because they've been on TV, it's not about who she decided to share her bed with.

For some reason, I'm reminded of Michael Stipe's "coming out" and his attempt to hide his utter deflation when everyone reacted with a "yes, Mike, we'd worked that out already".
