I want to test your chalk idea anyway, I reckon the bike could lean further.. just need smaller pegs.
It's not a matter of weather you are leaning over enough or not. It's about checking your perception of yourself versus reality.

If you were expecting to scrape your pegs, and you did, then your picture of relality is on the mark. However if you didn't know you were about to scrape the pegs and you did they you need to reset your preception, as you are mistakenly thinking you have more ground clearance than you do - which could be a problem in a corner if you need to tighten the line.

Search up on how to lean off a bike or go onto www.abbiss.co.nz for some great riding info.

But hey, at least you aren't afraid to lean over!
+1. If you do run out of lean angle you need to move your body more.

    Not always correct.
You also need to look at what tyres you have on, the type of bike etc.
I would never get my KTM on the same lean angle as my gixxer.

You don't have to "get off the bike" to make a corner faster, just follow Greg.

hahaha. And yes, considering your tyres is something you could do *before* you get to the corner.

EDIT: And yes, considering your tyres is something you could do *before* you hop on the bike.

And what the tyres are to be used for.

But what you are saying is correct. My first time at Pukky i was rubbing my foot on the apex at castrol. Looking at the photos later that week I relised I had a very bad seated postion (feet out).

Fixed now but when I get tired I start to return to old habits.

The same also applies to those that get off the bike bike every corner, or too far off the bike, for no reason.

I wont be along tonight. I'm not feeling that well, and the idea of puking in my helmet is not appealing.

    Refer to the first post:
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...et-Skills-NASS

You should be road legal. That means you should have a current registration, WOF, licence with a class '6', and if you need an L plate, one of those as well.

Why don't you come and join us for the ride as well? Be more fun.

Definately come for the ride. You're not a beginner, so grab another kind of experience.
