Man up, you got the time, you can get it lol (I've been sleeping with a roll of toilet paper for the last week and not for the usual reason guys sleep with toilet paper haha). If your nose is that bad just tampon it.

While you're there go Limeworks Loop road way there or back, it's a cruisy little road with not much traffic (and not surrounded with trees so no slippery leaves lol).

Well I would've gotten it had I not gone into the side of the lady who turned right, across my path today.

Bikes a bit smashed up, I'm fine though.
Should've seen her earlier, and should've practised my braking more.

Should've, should've, should've. That sound's like me after my crash. At least you know how to potentially avoid similar accidents in the future. Was this your 1st crash? Get on to the insurance ASAP. Having no bike for over a month gives you a "no bike depression", true story.

Hope all is well and you get back shiny side up soon

Yeah it was my first bike crash. I plan on grabbing full cover as soon as I get a new job (I make no profit out of delivering pizza) in the meantime I may be able to talk the rents into temporarily paying for it.

Hopefully it shouldn't take too long, the driver said she would pay for the damages, and I just got back from giving her my bank details and watching her put the money in my account just now. So hopefully I can get the bike sorted pretty quickly, won't be able to survive too long without it :P

Only out come was a sore hand, a ticket for her being on her learners unaccompanied and a police report reference number in case she refused to pay up.

That would have cost a fortune! And she has already paid for it?

    You are very lucky!

I know, yeah she has sent me the $$$, I made sure to get onto it as quickly as possible while she's still freaking out about it before she got any other ideas.

I'm glad that it's only a sore hand and nothing else. :S

Total for repair parts is $1240. With a guesstimated paintjob.

Sorry to hear about your off, but dont forget any and all gear that was damaged including a possible new lid. When I had my off, was unsure if the helmet hit the ground or not, told the insurance company I was unsure but would be claiming for a new one as not worth the risk. They paid out

I wasn't Beaten to it This tim

Old Tag Te Pahu Hall. New Tag a few km's south. Happy hunting.
Mrs STJim came for the ride and took the photos. Yes I know I have a spelling mistake in the heading but I am unable to edit the header. In recent times I have been out to grab a couple of tags but in each instance I have been beaten to it
    Cheers Jim

If you go up the road to the right of this school, you get to travel an amazing road - probably not a road bike road if it's the same as it was last time I went over it. It comes out at Oparau eventually. It's sealed a certain way up. Great views from up there. Probably best done in early summer but any time is better than none.
