Yup.... his fine was nothing compaired to the revinue our kiwi driver had to pay for doing 80k on Phillip Island when an 80 zone magically became a 60 zone as the policeman was waiting around the corner!

    It totally sucked that one...
NZ police say keeping the traffic all at one speed is the safest way...
Aussies think it is better to change the speed zones around intersections to keep drivers on their toes.... Go figure (and see the error in their ways?).

Remember, there is also a chance the camera sits lower than a person does in the car too.....
The bit I saw ... he was trying to keep to the left ... not over fully on the right hand side.

    Yeah... I hear your concern...
If you see the land scape lighting up, and hear the whur whur noise, there is a pretty good chance you would have plenty of time to jump
into the left wheel track, I reckon

Also in this case the car parked on its roof might be a clue

Just looking at the big picture here.... and he was responding to an emergency.

As far as I could tell, the Aussies car was not a police car responding to an accident........

Put it this way, if it were me laying there I would want as many people there as fast as possible to do what there are trained to do.....

She was heading back to Invergiggle ... but it's the ski season at the moment. Plenty of alternative "entertainment" around ...

Okay, just watched it again... (thanks my sky)... I see what you are saying... YES he did come up to a crest in the road, and it looked blind.
However, the camera is actually mounted at the height of the dash, so Kelvin Duff would be able to see more, being a full sized person....
Not defending actions at all, but he did pull back onto his side to let on coming traffic through, so was taking due care in my opinion..

Indeed there is,when a young fella i lived there for a few years, for awhile we had a prime spot in the mall above the Mexican resturant next to the pub on the corner with Alberts nightclub above it,great times and little sleep.Moved to Wanaka the 1st year that Cadrona had a chair-lift which was a bit of a let down re the night life.
