Exactly. I don't mind paying for convenience, in fact I think it's one of the best uses for my money.

On a lighter note I emailed Jim Mora in the afternoon , I often do , Asked about the IMF and the water ,( Which has been clearly stated AND done before in Bolivia .......)

Just raise the issue I said , so he replies , claiming ignorance, Then ignores the issue , So I point him in the direction of some noteable NZ ( Jane Kelsey ) ..oh I understand now ...says he

well go on raise the issue , this isnt a Maori party , National party thing says I ,,,,....... nope still an inter party issue as was his program ....

I think , someone has been "told "

( I mean even if I am completely wrong , WHY are there so many "noteable " people /groups saying the same thing , on his program THAT day there was a feature about people dropping out FOR the same reasons I said )

    No balls

If your e-mail to Jim Mora was anything like your average post here (full of innuendo & conspiracy, light on facts, no references and/or proof of content, with shocking punctuation and bad grammar), I can’t imagine why he ignored it…

not yet they're gotta get approval from the commission 1st. But once that happens & they become one I'm gonna be on the lookout for a new ISP. I'd rather stay as far away from those useless muppets known as Vodafone as possible.

The understanding, when any arm of the NZ government wants to use a resource for a public purpose, is, that in the first instance, the owner of the resource will be negotiated with for that access, use, or ownership right and failing an agreement, it may be taken by the government agency under statute - and then shall be returned to the owner if it is no longer used for a public purpose. This is the core concept enshrined in the Public Works Act 1981 and its antecedents and other legislation dealing with expropriation by the State.

    Q. So what happens when the original public purpose that justified the expropriation becomes a private purpose?
    A. It reverts to the former owner.

It would follow that to the extent that the resource is being privatised then to that extent it should be returned to the former owners.

The government itself treats water as a commodity to be controlled, appropriated, bought and sold - they are property rights.

From the ideological mantra of 'there is no free lunch' and 'no-one owes us a living' comes "water is free"!?

Interesting how the Nats suddenly start espousing anarcho-socialism when Maori property rights are involved!
Yes John Key says, when it suits his purpose - No one owns the water! Bullshit - you can't have it both ways- if it's good enough for the government to take control of Canterbury's water for the purposes of handing out water rights to their farming mates, they haven't got a leg to stand on, without, once again, appearing to be the 2 faced hypocrites they are!

    In a word - bullshit.
Just because you make some sort of reference to the IMF and Bolvia doesn't make it a fact - let's see your source.

As for "new medium" - gibberish is gibberish in any medium.

Nice try , I know you feel scared with all these changes , don’t we all , but the world is changing ...sorry not my doing

On a serious note - if you simply post a comment linking the sale of Mighty River Power with the IMF and Bolivian Water and don't bother with a source or a skerrick of proof...what is there to be right about? Mashman makes more sense.

If you dont regulate sometimes you WILL get people cutting corners and an unhealthy society

Keep typing my friend , your just highlighting my point
