Okay boys, I'll take the bait....
One is what the collection looked like a year back, the black rev cylinder TZ250U on the end has gone as I wasn't using it. BONKERS to ride. So much fun. Spent the money (and more on a new push bike)
The rest are still mine.
Not really into road bikes, but the OW01 was one bike I always wanted. Has only got 100bhp at the contact patch, but the chassis and gearbox are the the real deal. Does wicked backfires on the over-run as they suck air though the EXUP valve. Bitch on the road (hot, limited lock, hard on the wrists), so don't bother these days.
The TZ750 is a 76 model, last of the twinshock ones. has been a Wobbly bloody thing, very very fun motor. getting the handling sorted though. It was the donor bike for Stu Avant and the Nico Bakker framed TZ750 he used in the 76 Marlboro series. It was then sold to Trev Discombe and I heard recently that at some point Mike Pero rode it with the original frame (as like it is now). Ohlins rear shocks, Wobbly pipes, RT fork internals. 35 bux a lap at Puke to run....
The TZ350F (3rd one down, red white) is the full deal, with McIntosh frame (one of 6), plus boogie ign system, trick carb and fork internals, R Taylor Ohlins rear shock, RG500 gp bike clutch conversion, pukka 18 inch Dunlop race tyres and now has 2x period Brembo 05 capliers and 10 1/2 inch discs. It's been to Aussie 11 times to race at Phillip Island with me.
My brother's collection is broadly similar....though he doesn't have an OW01, but two TZ750'sand a BSA Gold Star.
Gone for quality over quantity.
Wovery nice indeed.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
Nice Malcy any of these in the upcoming show?

Does an early FZR1000 (pre-exup) count as a classic? There's one in the shed to needs a fair bit of TLC to be re-vinned (new disks, battery and tyres and brake hoses for a start) but it is complete- Engine ran fine last time it was started, grearbox has been replaced with 6 speed FZ700 cluster. Would it be worth anything? Vance and Hines exhaust, paint and logos if that counts for anything
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I was speaking to the organiser of the show and he was keen to get more Japanese bikes.....Brit, Kraut,Yank and Iti bikes are quite common it seems.....
Mr Malcy....is the Post Classic's not having their own display? or you could demonstrate how to step off gracefully in the carpark...
dare ya to post that piccy....![]()
Wow that is a change of heart. I remember years ago turning up on a GB to a classic meet - and having a (lets just call him "old knob") come up to me and tell me I "was riding jap crap"....... This was after a nice old guy told me that my GB stirred memories to him of his Norton (his smile was awesome).
